    Mrs. Clara Stiebs Manawa, Wisconsin Age 87, died Monday morning at Hunter Nursing Center, Manawa. She was born June 7, 1888 in the Town of Royalton. She married Edward Stiebs March 13, 1905. She and her husband lived on a farm in Baldwin Mills for 58 years. Alter her husbands death August 12, 1963, she lived in New London. In March 1975 she became a resident of Hunter Nursing Center. Manawa. Mrs. Stiebs was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Baldwin Mills. Survivors include a daughter. Mrs. Emi! (Ella) Afarahamson, Appleton; five sons: Waiter and Herman, both of Manawa: Leonard and Earl, both of New London; Cari, Ogdensburg; a brother. Frank Miiler, Waupaca; three sisters: Mrs. Arthur (Laura) Tessen. Manawa; Mrs. Lily Wegener, Clintonvilie; Mrs. Arthur (Florence) Zorn. Junction City; 32 grandchildren: 45 great-grandchiidren; four great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a child, four brothers and three sisters. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church. Baldwin Mills, with the Rev. Edmund Bauragarten officiating. Interment will be in Baldwin Mills Cemetery.     Mikell Carl Stiebs, age 72, of Appleton, beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away surrounded by his three beautiful daughters on Thursday, October 22, 2015 after a brief illness.
    Mike was born on November 16, 1942 in New London to the late Carl and Dorothy (Poehlman) Stiebs. In a pristine, peaceful valley of Waupaca County, Mike grew up on a progressive dairy farm. The tranquil woods, erratic glacial rocks and the Blake Brook that flowed through the land were his playground. He enjoyed playing baseball, basketball and listening to sports on his radio while tending to the farm.
    Mike attended primary school in a one-room country schoolhouse and graduated from Manawa High School in 1960. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
    For his entire professional life Mike worked as a service and operations manager for commercial truck leasing companies. For the past eleven years, he was the WI/MN regional manager at McCoy Nationalease Inc.
    Mike will be remembered for his thirst of knowledge, voracious reading, industriousness, passionate horticulturist, Badger and Packer fan, political enthusiast and an avid traveler journeying to Singapore, Thailand, Spain, Portugal and Canada to name a few.
    Inspiring and unforgettable to his children and grandchildren was Mike's pride and devotion to faith, family and country; his gentle and kind nature; enthusiasm to live life to the fullest; constant positive outlook and to be a life-long learner and adventurer.
    He is survived by his three loving daughters, who are the light of his life, Tami (Dennis) Burton of Appleton and her children, Alexander and Courtney Oenes and stepchildren, Justin and Aaron Burton; Julianna (Terry) Otremba of Minneapolis, MN and their daughter, Addison Sophia; Kristina (Trent) Munyer of Coeur d' Alene, ID and their daughters, Ava and Zara. Mike is further survived by his dear sister, Kathy Drews of Larsen and her children, Matthew Drews of Milwaukee and Jennifer Drews (Mike) Anklam of New London and her son, Konnor Kuppernus; niece, Janice (Ernie) Flatoff of Plover and their children, Kim Nagorski and Caitlin Flatoff; niece, Sue (Mike) Zarecki of Junction City and their children, Jessica and Megan Zarecki.
    Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents; Carl and Jessica (Crowner) Poehlman and Edward and Clara (Miller) Stiebs; his parents Carl and Dorothy (Poehlman) Stiebs; his older sister, Nancy Stiebs; his cousin, Clyde Frye; brother-in-law, Bill Drews and niece, Stephanie Drews.
    A funeral service for Mike will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 10:00 am at SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS LUTHERAN CHURCH, N1615 Meadowview Drive, Greenville. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street starting at 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday at church starting at 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service with Rev. Nate Reichle officiating.

    David Earl Stiebs Sr., age 64, of New London, passed away at his residence on Monday, May 1, 2017, after a short illness. Dave was born on March 19, 1953 to Earl and Doris (Richmond) Stiebs in Waupaca. He graduated from New London High School in 1971. He then went on to receive his degree in X-Ray Technology from Wausau Technical College, where he graduated with honors. Dave was united in marriage to Roberta LaFlair on January 1, 1976 in Arizona. He was employed by United Financial Group for 30 years, serving countless residents. Dave loved reading, spending time with family, grandchildren and dogs. He had an extremely strong faith.
    Dave is survived by his wife, Roberta; father, Earl Stiebs; children, Stonna Schulke (Michael), David Stiebs Jr. (Jill) and William Stiebs (Tina); grandchildren, Calista and Bryce Montgomery, Paxton Van Straten and Zachary and TaylorAnn Stiebs; siblings, Rick (Lisa) Stiebs, Marie (Joe) Barker, Bill (Lynn) Stiebs, Lori Stiebs (Mark Mathewson) and Cathy (Gary) Martzke. Dave is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
    Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Doris and nephew, Bryan Barker.
    The funeral for David will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London. Rev. Lary Long will be officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery in New London.
    The family wishes to thank ThedaCare Hospice for their loving care.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

    Barker, Bryan B.
    Son, brother, friend, age 21, of New London, passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2009, in Milwaukee. God graced us with him on July 23, 1987. He was born in Appleton, the son of Joseph and Marie (Stiebs) Barker. Bryan was a student at U.W. Milwaukee, fulfilling his dream of majoring in Business and Finance. He was blessed with a strong spirit and heart and enjoyed overcoming challenges both mental and physical. He worked a summer job at Atlas Cold Storage in Appleton and also had a part-time job installing security systems in Milwaukee.
    Bryan is survived by his parents: Joseph and Marie Barker, New London; his sister, Amy Barker, New London; his brother, Jonathan (Emily) Barker, New London; his girlfriend, Lejla Kikanovic, Franklin; his maternal grandparents, Earl and Doris Stiebs, New London; four nieces: Kassidy, Maya, Sophia Schmidt and Alivia Barker as well as numerous loving relatives and dear friends.
    He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Cordell Barker.
    The Funeral Service for Bryan will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in New London with the Rev. Bil Sutlief officiating. Interment will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery in New London. Visitation will be at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Wednesday (TODAY) from 4-8 p.m., and at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
