According to his daughter Darlyene, as a child, Everett celebrated his bir thday as January 19th. His mother Lena could not remember his birth dat e. When he applied for his Social Security Card it was determined that h is birth date was January 28. His birth certificate confirms the Janua ry 28th date.

The Catholic Church would not allow a person to be baptized unless they h ad a Saint's name for a middle name. Since Vernon is not a Saint's nam e, he was baptized Everett Bernard Eder.
