    Obituary:
Rejoice! Rejoice! Leona has gone Home to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 8, 2007. She was a constant prayer warrior for all and never missed a day praying, especially for her family. She enjoyed years of traveling through the state with her husband providing special music through singing when he filled in as interim pastor for various churches. Many were blessed with special recipe treats that she either cooked or baked for any occasion or just because she wanted to bless someone. Chicken dumpling soup and Baklava were her specialties and requested the most.
Leona was born February 27, 1923, in Brillion, Wisconsin, to Albert and Clara (Fischer) Enneper. She married Orlando Krueger on August 3, 1940, in the Town of Rantoul; together they had two children, Judi and Jerry. Leona and Orlando enjoyed 53 years of marriage before his death in 1993.
Leona is survived by her children: Judi (Tom) Neumann, Menasha; Jerry (Pat) Krueger, Topeka KS: six grandchildren: Michael Neumann, Cedar Park, TX; Lisa (Marty) Brost, Ansbach, Germany; Aaron (Jenny) Neumann, Appleton; Matthew (Lori) Krueger, Leawood, KS; Mark (Erin) Krueger, Topeka, KS and Timothy (Sarah) Krueger, Topeka, KS and eight great grandchildren: Rene Neumann, Kayla, Taylor and Ella Brost, Mallory and Jake Krueger, and Noah and Emma Krueger. Leona is further survived by her brother Arnold (Mary Ann) Enneper, Kiel; sister in law, Hope Krueger, Sheboygan; sister in law, Virginia (Frank) Schulze, California; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Alice.
Leona's children describe her as a woman of character, integrity and deep spiritual conviction. She spent most of her life caring more about others than she did herself, and living a life that most people would want to emulate. She was kind, caring, and genuine to all that knew her. She was a role model to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treated others with respect and dignity; she gave more than she ever received. She leaves behind perhaps the best legacy anyone could; her life so impacted her family and friends that they would attest a part of them has changed because of the person she was. Because of that, the essence of who she was lives on. While saddened by her passing, her family celebrates her homecoming to be with the Lord she served her entire life.
Funeral services for Leona will be held at Appleton Alliance Church, 2693 W. Grand Chute Blvd., Grand Chute, Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at 6 p.m. Visitation will be also at the church from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
Special thank you to Cherry Meadows and Renaissance Care.
