    Obituary:
    Maxine S. Poehlman, 94, Winneconne, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at the Omro Care Center.
    She was born May 19, 1912, in New London, to the late Max and Emma (Thieme) Stern. Maxine was a graduate of New London High School. She married Louis R. Poehlman on April 24, 1937, in New London and they made their home and farmed in Sugar Bush for two years, moved to New London and farmed until 1959, at which time Maxine and Louis moved to Winneconne where they farmed for six years retiring in 1965.
    After retiring, they enjoyed wintering in Coolidge, Ariz. for nine years. Louis preceded Maxine in death on May 16, 1990. She was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Winneconne and an honorary member of its Ladies Aid.
    Maxine is survived by two sons and three daughters-in-law, Anita Poehlman, Middleton, Wis.; David and Cheryl Poehlman, Kaukauna; Robert and Kathy Poehlman, Oshkosh; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Merlin Erickson, Redgranite; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Eleanor Poehlman, Ora and Vernon Thoma, all of New London.
    Along with her parents and husband, Maxine was preceded in death by three children, Raymond in 1947, James in 2004, and Connie Stipe in 1987; two brothers, Arthur and Herbert Stern; and one granddaughter, Lisa Handrich.
    Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, Winneconne, with Pastor John Covach and Pastor Mark Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery in New London. Relatives and friends may call at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of services.
