Obituary:
Wayne F. Draheim, age 60, of Hortonville, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. He was born on August 21, 1948, in New London, son of the late Delbert and Bernice (Mills) Draheim. Wayne graduated from New London High School. He served his country with the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1968-1970. Wayne was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and gardening, he also liked watching the Green Bay Packers. He especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children: Tami (Chad) Riehl, Hortonville; Tara Buelow and her special friend Aaron, Neenah; Tanya (Craig) VerVoort, Kaukauna; Wayne Draheim Jr., and special friend Rachael, Hortonville; Sarah Draheim, Appleton; grandchildren: Mitchael, Mason, Myla, Addisyn, Alayna and Lexi; his brothers: Paul (Jean) Draheim, New London; Rick Draheim, Missouri; his sisters: Mary (Al) Bickel, Upper Michigan; Diane Conradt, Shiocton; Peggy (Denny) Conradt, Shiocton. Special friends Kay, Linda, Don and Terry; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, further survive him.
His parents, a sister Audrey, two brothers Robert and Dennis, and a brother-in-law Eugene Conradt preceded him in death.
The American Legion Post 55 in Hortonville will conduct a Military Memorial Service for Wayne on Sunday, December 28, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Sunday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
