    Obituary:
    Eva R. Ritchie, age 81, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2009, at St. Joseph Residence in New London. Eva was born on October 26, 1927, in Amherst, daughter of the late Joseph and Eugenia (Barden) Clinton. She was united in marriage to Mathies Ritchie on October 6, 1948, in Clintonville. Eva worked at the Toy Factory in Hortonville for 27 years. She liked walking, doing word searches, being outdoors, working on the farm and driving tractor.
    Eva was a devoted Christian and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church in Bear Creek.
    Eva is survived by her husband, Mathies; a daughter, Donna (Richard) Simons, Bear Creek; a brother, Roland Clinton, Bear Creek; two sisters: Lila Garrow, Oklahoma, and Mildred Trice, Royalton; three grandchildren: Matthias Simons (significant other Betsy), New London; Megan Simons (significant other Ben), Weyauwega; Amanda (Zane) Bratt, New London; three step-grandchildren: Jeff (Julie) Simons, Tyler (Marie) Simons and Aaron (Currie) Terry; five great-grandchildren: Lily, Noah, Tyias, Sophia and Carter; seven step great-grandchildren and one stepgreat-great-grandchild; two brothers-in-law: Leonard Ritchie, New London and Les Behnke, Clintonville; and a sister-in-law, Millie Gore, New London.
    She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Katherine Mendleski, Rose Behnke and Dorothy Schernick; a brother, Richard Clinton; and also numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
    Funeral Mass for Eva will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bear Creek with Fr. Paul Vanden Hogen officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, and also at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to staff at St. Joseph Residence and Debbie Berwig for their care and concern of Eva.
