Obituary:
Kristine A. Suprise, 56, New London, passed away at her residence on Saturday, June 26, 2010. She was born on May 5, 1954, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Thomas and Ellouise (Rasmussen) Graham. On Dec. 19, 1970, she married Joseph A. Suprise. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Kristine was raised in the newspaper business, first with The Reminder, then the New London Press Star and finally Journal Communications in Waupaca. She retired in 2005 due to poor health. Kristine loved spending time at the cottage at Underwood Lake where she enjoyed water-skiing, fishing, sailing and snowmobiling in her youth. She loved animals, especially her dogs, J.T. and Denali, and was an animal rights advocate. She was a charter member of the Beacon St. Deli Breakfast Club. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in New London.
She is survived by her children, Amy Suprise, Kimberly; Brian Suprise, Appleton; sisters-in-law, Verna Graham, New London; Kay (Perry) Harvey, Manlius, N.Y.; Tracy (Adam) Schesch, Madison; and Jane Bertczyk, Clintonville. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and her dogs, J.T. and Denali, and her grand-pup, Regal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Tom.
The memorial service for Kristine will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Watling officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. on Thursday until the time of the service.
A special thank you to N.P. Scott Schuldes and all the staff at Theda Care for their many years of caring for Mom.
