    Obituary:
    Huebner, Russell A.
Russ Huebner, 82, passed away on April 9, 2009, from Cancer. At his death he was surrounded by members of his family. A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, he was born on June 5, 1926, to Della and Arthur Huebner. He attended Central High School of St. Paul. He married Mary J. Hurley, also of St. Paul, Minnesota in 1947. They were a devoted couple who celebrated over 58 years of married life together.
Russ and Mary moved to Appleton where Russ worked for Wisconsin Bell Telephone for 38 years until his retirement in 1986. Russ was a World War II Navy Veteran. He was quite the handyman. He built two homes, was always helping others with "fix-it" projects and a regular donor to the blood bank. As devout Catholics, Russ and Mary were very active at St. Edward's Parish of Mackville in the home school counsel, CCD education and were Eucharist ministers. He and Mary spent their retirement years as avid golfers and traveling. They had resided in a retirement community in Mission, Texas, since 1996.
Russ is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary, his parents: Arthur and Della Huebner and his son, Thomas Huebner.
He is survived by his sister, Jackie Huebner Baker of Kissimmee, Florida; his daughters: Kitty Alaily of Appleton, Frances Sodamann of St. George, Kansas, Mary Morris of Neenah; and son, Russell Huebner of Lacey, Washington. Surviving grandchildren include: Rima and Jihad Alaily of Seattle, Washington and Appleton, respectively; Cos and Morgan Morris of Neenah; Myles Morris of Madison; Nicole Beals of Seattle, Washington; Russell Huebner Jr., Lacey, Washington: Nathan, Ian and Anna Huebner of Oshkosh; and John Huebner of Green Bay; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at St. Edward's Catholic Church, N 2921 State Rd 47, (Mackville) Appleton, WI, 54913. The family will receive friends and relatives immediately prior to the service at the Church. A graveside burial will follow the service. Flowers sent to the church for the service or a donation to St. Edward's church in Russ's name will gratefully be accepted.
We know that Mom and Dad are home and together again!

Russell married Hurley, Mary J. Abt 1947. Mary was born Abt 1924, Saint Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota, USA. [Group Sheet]
