    Donald R. Torbeck, 81, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2013, at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna, WI, surrounded by his loving family.
    Don was born in Appleton, WI, on December 20, 1932, son of the late William and Emma (Sager) Torbeck. Don was an Air Force veteran and former officer for the Appleton Police Department. He liked spending his time playing pool, winning cribbage matches, and dining out. He also enjoyed taking vacations to Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Don's great sense of humor and joking personality put a smile on many faces and happiness in many hearts. He was a good man, well loved by his family and friends, and well respected by those who knew him.
    Don is survived by his daughters, Amanda (Tom) Lillge and Tracey (Paul) Wachuta; grandchildren, Erin (Ryan) Jacobson, Mark Lillge, Cayla (Joe) Thompson, Devin (Brittany) Wachuta, and Nicole Wachuta; great-grandchild, Taylor Lillge; nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Elaine Wheeler, William Torbeck, and Toby Torbeck.
    Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Valley Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Huff officiating. Don's family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Don's name.
    The family would like to offer a special thanks to St. Paul's Nursing Home and their hospice staff.
