    Leo W. "Bill" Roehl, age 93, of New London, formerly of Clintonville passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at the Manawa Community Nursing Center. Leo was born on April 27, 1911, in the Township of Bear Creek, Waupaca County, the son of the late William and Mathilda (Lueck) Roehl. On August 26, 1933, he was united in marriage to Bernice Tornow at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Township of Bear Creek. The couple farmed in the Township of Bear Creek and later in the Township of Lebanon, also in Waupaca County. In 1940, they moved to Embarrass, in 1945 moved to the Township of Larrabee, later moving to Clintonville. On March 5, 1966, Bernice preceded her husband in death. On July 30, 1977, Leo was united in marriage to Emma (Utech) Gutt in Pearson, WI. The couple lived in Waupaca for 15 years until moving to New London in 1993. Leo was employed at the F.W.D. Corporation, Clintonville for 25 years until his retirement.
    He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, New London. His hobbies included woodworking and photography.
    Survivors include his wife, Emma; three sons: Eugene (Jean) Roehl, Embarrass; Leroy (Darlene) Roehl, Appleton; John (Wanda) Roehl, Appleton; two stepdaughters: Linda (Steve) Allie, New London; Betty Krolow, Hatley, WI; a stepson, Larry (Marcia) Gutt, Waupaca; six grandchildren: Dennis (Elaine) Roehl, Marion; Randal Roehl, Clintonville; Brian (Mary) Roehl, Clintonville; Chris (Karri) Roehl, Appleton; Brady (Karen) Roehl, Fargo, ND; Jesse (Anne) Roehl, Minneapolis, MN; 11 great-grandchildren: Travis Verg, Fawn, Brittney, Adam, Derek, Nikki, Becky, Joshua, Samuel, Joseph and William Roehl; six step-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lydia Killian, Clintonville; two brothers: Benjamin (Pearl) Roehl, New London; Reuben (Rosemary) Roehl, Wausau; numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife (Bernice), a brother (Herman), and two grandchildren (Kevin Roehl and Cheryl Verg).
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2005, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. William E. Sutlief officiating, and inurnment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call at the Church from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service.

    Lydia A. Kilian, age 101 of Clintonville, passed away Sunday morning, January 4, 2015 at the Thedacare Medical Center in New London.
    Lydia was born on May 18, 1913 on the family farm in the Township of Bear Creek, Waupaca County as the daughter of the late William and Mathilda (Lueck) Roehl. She lived her early life in the Bear Creek area where she attended Fountain Creek and Trinity Lutheran Schools. She later worked as a nurse maid and housekeeper in Sheboygan. Lilian was united in marriage to Walter Kilian of Sugarbush on December 2, 1931 in Nicholson. The couple resided in Sugarbush where they owned and operated Kilian's Hardware Store and Repair Shop. Upon retirement they moved to Sunset Lake near Eagle River in the early 1960s where they resided for a number of years before moving back to Clintonville. Walter preceded Lydia in death in 1974. Lydia was a faithful member of Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. Having no children of her own, Lydia took on all of her nieces and nephews as her family and entertained often at her home. She was a caring person, enjoyed sewing, and was an excellent cook
    Survivors include:
    Her Brothers: Ben Roehl, New London. Reuben (Rosemary) Roehl, Wausau.
    Also her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, great-great-nieces & nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.
    Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter, & brothers Herman and Leo "Bill" Roehl.
    Funeral services will be held for Lydia on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 11 AM at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville in the spring.
