    Robert L. "Bob" Blohm, age 73, of Long Lake passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side early Saturday morning (June 15, 2013) at Ivy Manor in Campbellsport where he had been a resident for the past week.
    Bob was born on March 17, 1940 in Green Bay, WI, a son of the late Ruben and Martha Sperl Blohm.
    He graduated from Seymour High School in 1958 and attended Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton earning and Associate Degree in Engineering. Bob graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a BA in Education and Electrical Engineering and also was a member of the Beta Zeta Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society.
    He served in the United States Army and in the reserves from 1957-1965.
    On July 22, 1967, he married Judith Dettmann at St. John United Church of Christ in Boltonville. The couple resided in New Jersey for 11 years and since then in the Long Lake area.
    Bob worked for Exide Corporation in Seymour, WI, Chicago, Ill, Philadelphia, PA, Indianapolis, IN, and Reading, PA, for 50 years traveling worldwide before becoming a consultant for them. He also taught at Moraine Park Technical College in West Bend.
    He is a member of New Horizon United Church of Christ and held of the office of president and vice president of the congregation. He was very instrumental in joining the 3 churches together as one. Bob was presently the president of the Model T Ford and Vintage Car Club in the West Bend area.
    In 2011, he went to Nicaragua with the Farmer to Farmer Program with the help of a Federal grant to improve handling and reduce bacteria in milk from cow to factory. He also built a digestor which uses waste by products to aid the remote locations with power production.
    Bob enjoyed his antique car collection, gas pumps, cream separators and was an avid reader of World War History books as well as a world traveler and visiting many presidential library's all over the country.
    Survivors include: his loving wife of 45 years: Judy of Long Lake; his mother-in-law: Wilma Dettmann of Campbellsport; five sisters and brothers: Karen Sievert (Friend: Jim Weyers) of Seymour, Janet (Richard) Vanden Heuvel of DePere, Glenn (Mary Jo) Blohm of Ohio, Sue (Doug) Seidl of Seymour and Michael (Ruth) Blohm of Seymour; three Sister-in-laws: Sandy (Ralph) Jung of Random Lake, Debby (Tom) Benzschawel of Cascade and Kathy "Dolly" Emmer (her husband: Gary) of Allenton; 20 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and nephews and his feline companion: Kocka and is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law: Merlin Dettmann and two brother-in-laws: Melvin Sievert and Nick Vogt.
    Memorial services will be held on Saturday afternoon (June 22) at 4:00 P.M. at New Horizon United Church of Christ, 9663 Hwy 144 North, Kewaskum (one mile north of Boltonville). Rev. David Schlieter, pastor of the church will officiate. Cremation has taken place and Inurnment will be in the Boltonville Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the CHURCH on Saturday (June 22) from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Robert's name for the New Horizon United Church of Christ.
