Obituary:
Ralph A. Andy Boriin, age 88 passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Manor Care Health Center. Andy was born September 6, 1924 in Hibbing, MN to the late Oscar and Maude (Case) Boriin. After high school in Chisholm MN, he joined the Navy, serving on an LST and stationed at Pearl Harbor, seeing much of the Pacific Islands for 2 years. He then attended University of MN, to receive his civil engineering degree. In 1952 he started his career with Kimberly Clark, working there for 36 years. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling and camping to see much of the US with family. Andy also enjoyed sailing in his sailboat, water skiing, snow skiing, fishing and regular trips to Canoe Country. He was also a member of the Boys Brigade, Neenah. Survived by his wife: Dorothy Boriin, three children: Kim Boriin, Dawn Boriin, and Nancy (Chuck) Riesterer, brother: Peter (Patti) Boriin, sister: Betty Aldwarth, sister-in-law: Rita Boriin, step children: Tom Luedtke and Jim (Patricia) Luedtke, Lynn Osman, Todd Simoens, grand children: Kelsey and Cody Riesterer, Ami (Colin) Gaytan, Michelle, Allison, and Carolyn Luedtke, Ashley and Cullen Osman, niece: Patrice (Jason) Pieratt, nephew: Peter (Ellen) Boriin. He was preceded in death by his parents, step son: Steven Luedtke, brothers: Robert and Roy, first wife: Grace and great grandchild, Devon Gaytan. Friends may call at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 North Richmond Street, Appleton on Monday from 1:00-2:00 pm. Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 pm.
