    James Schindler Malcolm, 77, of Orange Texas, died Monday, August 22, 2011, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
    Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2011, at First United Methodist Church in Orange with Reverend John W. Warren officiating. Visitation will begin at noon prior to the service at the church. Cremation will follow at Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.
    Born in Kimberly on January 24, 1934, James was son of Alex and Esther (Schindler) Malcolm. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. James was very active in the choir and was a member of the Golden Kiwanis.
    Preceded in death by his parents and Peggy Malcolm, James is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Alma Malcolm of Spring; daughter and son-in-law Karry and Darryl Craus of Village Mills; son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Annette Malcolm of Orange; and son David Malcolm of Frisco.
    He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jonathan, Sean and Chloe Craus, George Rodriguez, Emily, Peggy and Jimmy Malcolm; sister, Jane VanGeffen of Appleton; brother Al Malcolm of Phoenix; and special friend, Betty James of Orange.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 502 N. Sixth Street, Orange, Texas 77630.

    Judy J. (Van Geffen) Achten, age 64, was born in Appleton, Wisconsin October 31, 1949. She passed away at home surrounded by her family on February 20, 2014. She is survived by her husband, Randy; her children Brian Achten of Austin, TX and Jill (Rick) Russell of Plano, TX. The daughter of Jane Van Geffen of Kimberly, WI. and the late Donald Van Geffen, Judy was also a loving grandmother to Ashton, Casey and Carly Russell. She is also survived by many extended family members. Judy and Randy were wed on May 24, 1972 in Kimberly, WI. Judy graduated from UW-Oshkosh and became a teacher. In 1984 Judy became a Realtor in Chicago and later Dallas. Her greatest passion in life was educating and helping others.
    Judy loved gardening, cooking, traveling, reading, friends, education, her real estate career and above all, her family.
    Judy loved and was loved. This was especially evident in her 5 year battle with cancer.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Cancer Society , Faith Presbyterian Hospice or CCPC VBS Program.

    Memorial Services to be held at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church (CCPC), 3901 N. Star Road, Richardson, TX 75082 on March 1, 2014 at 1 PM with a lunch reception to follow.
