Obituary:
Frances J. Damsheuser, age 94, of Appleton, passed away on August 27, 2015. Fran grew up on a farm in Brinkley, Arkansas with 10 siblings. She visited her sister Margaret in Appleton and met Roy Damsheuser, who was on leave from the Army during World War II. They were married on January 21, 1944, and made Appleton their home. They were great parents and loved spending time with friends and family. They had a great love of the outdoors and took their daughters camping every summer for vacation. When the girls were older, they started touring Canada and the United States pulling a camper. Fran was very active in her church, Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran, and active in Ladies' Aid for many years. She loved being a grandmother to her 5 grandchildren. Fran also loved gardening and passed that love on to her daughters.
Fran is survived by her daughter, Betty (Stephen) Proces, Neenah, and their children Eric (Kevin) Proces, and Paul Proces; her son-in-law Gary Goins and his children Tiffany (Lewis) Melson and their children, Rachel (Andy) Ludwig and their children, and Lisa (Sean) Hutchins and their children. Fran is further survived by her sister, Ramona Vaughan; and her sister-in-law Darlene (Arnie) Reis. Fran is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families; other relatives, and friends.
Fran is preceded in death by her parents, Philip "Carl" and Wilda (Thede) Weller; her husband, Roy; a daughter, Diana Goins, in 2014, and a son, Roy Jr., in infancy; sisters, Mary Tromblay, Margaret Nigl, and Wilda Mae McFadden; and brothers, Sanford Weller, Philip Weller, John Weller, Chauncey Weller, Daniel Weller, and LeRoy Weller.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2nd at Mount Olive Ev. Lutheran Church, 930 E. Florida Ave, Appleton, with the Reverend Troy Schreiner officiating. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place at the Star of Hope Mausoleum, Appleton. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials are appreciated to the Community Hospice Foundation.
