Obituary:
Lola M. Clegg, age 92, New London, died peacefully on Friday, November 27, 2015, at Appleton Medical Center following a brief illness. Lola was born on May 26, 1923, in Stephensville, WI the daughter of Ira and Adeline (Barnum) Morack. On September 2, 1944, she was united in marriage to Garret J. Clegg at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Stephensville. He preceded Lola in death in 2014 after 70 years of marriage.
Lola lived and worked on the family farm with her husband her entire life as a homemaker. She also was a secretary at the Hortonville Public School District for 25 years. Lola loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, tending to her flowers, dancing, and going to the family cottage in Land-O-Lakes. Following retirement, she traveled often with family and friends. Lola was a devoted lifetime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Lebanon.
Lola is survived by a daughter, Connie (Tony) Prinsen, New London; sons: Bill (Beth) Clegg, New London; Bob Clegg, New London; Don (Dorothy) Clegg, New London; grandchildren: Keith (Denise) Clegg, Kevin (Tina) Clegg, Sara (Jason) Rathsack, Joe Clegg, Brian (Heather) Clegg, Laurie Shaw, Shannon Klatt, Cory Clegg, Kara (Ken) Brown, Kristy (Dan) Vanek, Steve Clegg (special friend, Megan Preisler), Stacey (Steve) Pigeon, and Kyle (Laura) Clegg. She is further survived by 18 great-grandchildren, special friend, Jean Bleck; as well as numerous, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Llwelyn and Randall Morack; sister, Berdine Collar; and a grandson-in-law, Greg Klatt.
The Funeral Mass for Lola will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Lebanon with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Lally officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home Monday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again directly at church Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Appleton Medical Center ICU for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Lola.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
