    Obituary:
    Plymouth – William C. Alten died Saturday at his home, 221 Stafford Street, after an illness of a year. He was born February 2, 1864, in Klein Muenzel, Hanover, Germany. Mr. Alten operated a general store at Forest Junction and was postmaster there from 1889 to 1911. When the State Bank was organized there he accepted the position of cashier. He held this position until 1919, when he was forced to give it up due to ill health. He was a director of the bank until the present time. For the past eleven years the family has lived in Plymouth.
    Deceased is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. S. Jansch of Forest Junction, and Mrs. Sophia Klopmen of Milwaukee, one son, Fred of Chilton, one sister, Mrs. William Schultz, and one brother, August Alten, both of Plymouth. Eleven grandchildren also survive.
    The funeral will be held at St. John's Lutheran church. The Rev. M. Schmidt will preach an English sermon, and the Rev. Rauschel of Woodville, Calumet County, will deliver a German address. Burial will be made in Union Cemetery, Plymouth
