Obituary:
Age 79, died Friday, December 27, 1996 at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah. He was born June 30, 1917 in Appleton, son of the late Frank and Mary (Hoffman) Rammer. Joseph married Ruth Paschen on June 22, 1943 at Niagara Falls, N.Y. He was a Fox Valley resident most of his life, was a graduate of Appleton High School and was formerly employed with Kimberly-Clark for more than 36 years. Joseph was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping and traveling with his family, mostly to Texas to spend time there during the winter months. He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and a member of the Fox Valley Campers. Joseph was an Eagle Scout and a Boy Scout leader for many years. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ruth; two sons, James (Sharon) Rammer, Menasha, and John Rammer, Appleton; two grandchildren, Brian (Jenny) Rammer and Christina Rammer; two sisters, Germaine Frank, Whitefish Bay, and Margaret Heferren, Milwaukee; and one brother, Chester (Muriel) Rammer, Appleton. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Alice, a brother, Edward, and two sisters, Lucille and Agnes. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the Westgor Funeral Home, with the Revs. Richard I. Allen and Leonard Stockmeier officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. A memorial is being established.
