George was born April 4, 1926 to the late William Henry and Ro salie (Bougie) Bodde in the Town of Kaukauna. He married the former Floren ce Steffens on August 17, 1948, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. The funer al service will be 11 a.m. on Thursday April 15, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CH URCH, 309 Desnoyer Street Kaukauna with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. He married the former Florence Steffens on Aug. 17, 194 8, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. George was a loving husband, father, gra ndfather and great grandfather. To those who knew him, George was a m an of few words who quietly went about his work. He was a hardworking m an and the farm and his family were his whole life. George and his wife, F lorence, took over his father's farm in 1968 and built it into a 60 her d, dairy-milking operation. George farmed 160 acres of farm property and c ontinued a proud family heritage marked by a State Certified Century Fa rm Award in 1980. The farm has now passed to the 5th Bodde generatio n. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and spending time fishing at their co ttage on Shawano Lake. He was born October 16, 1928, to the late Andrew and Angeline (Bowers) Bodde. On October 26, 1947, Charles married the love of his life Frida Borri in Florence, Italy. Charles was a World War II veteran. He was employed by Appleton Papers in Combined Locks for 41 years retiring in 1991. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and playing cribbage with friends, Jerry and Regina Brockman. He raised and raced homing pigeons and was a longtime member of Fox Valley Racing Club.
    He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frida; his daughters: Carla (Dennis) Landrath, Wausau; Sharon (Ken) Hammen, Little Chute; and Connie (Glen) Geurts, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Jennifer (Kevin) Steward, Dallas, TX; Daniel (Jocelyn) Schroeder, Wausau; Matthew Geurts, Andrew Geurts, Emily Bodde and Molly Bodde, all of Kaukauna; great-granddaughters, Landyn and Bryn Schroeder, Wausau; two sisters, Mary Wallace and Rita Van Linn; a brother and sister-in-law, Mirella and Sabatino Facchini, Florence, Italy; one aunt, Cordell Bowers; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Kaukauna - Mary Wallace Kaukauna, WI Age 83, died Saturday August 25th, 2018, at her home. She was born December 19th 1934 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Andrew and Angeline (Bowers) Bodde. On June 19th 1952 Mary married Kenneth Wallace at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. She was employed by St. Elizabeth Hospital, Dabs Hat and the Hyland House in her lifetime. Mary loved the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. She loved to go gambling with her sister Rita Van Linn, cooking at the Kaukauna Moose Lodge # 953 and going camping with her family. Survivors include her children and their spouses: Peggy (Mike) Mahn, Rick "Wally" (Jackie) Wallace, and Rich (Kathy) Wallace. Seven grandchildren: Brian (Nicole), Cory (Sue) and Joel (Gina) Mahn.     Karen M. Bodde, 69, of Appleton, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, October 9, 2014. Karen was born in Appleton on October 11, 1944, to the late Robert and Rita (Pitsch) Bodde.
    Karen was both a resident and proud treasurer of John Fischer Manor. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, writing, watching T.V., and ice cream. Karen also delighted in spending time with her grandchildren.
    Karen is survived by her daughters; Sheila (Greg) Shackle, Sara MacDonald, and Serena Lila; grandchildren; Macy and Noelle Shackle; Toby, Chloe, and Alex MacDonald; and Isaiah Throm, Kylah Hoeck, and Tristan Lila; and siblings; Gene Bodde, Barbara (Gary) Seegers, Gloria (Dave) Faccio, Tony (Kim) Bodde, and Ken (Pat) Bodde. She is preceded in death by her parents.
    A Memorial Vigil celebrating Karen's life will be held at 5:45PM on Monday, October 13, 2014, at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., with Fr. Brian Wideman officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 4:00PM, until the time of vigil, at the funeral home.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org) are appreciated.
    The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the ladies at John Fischer Manor for their friendship and support.
