    Herman J. Juckem, age 79, of Chilton, died on Monday, May 17, 2010, surrounded by his family at his home in Chilton. He was born February 8, 1931, in the Town of Chilton, son of the late Joseph & Catherine (Diedrich) Juckem. He married Juliana Thuecks on April 23, 1960, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho. Following his graduation from Chilton High School, he worked with his family on the family farm. In 1951, he joined the United States Army and faithfully served his country until his discharge in 1953. Herman began working at Tecumseh Products in New Holstein, until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus branch 2556. Herman was a simple man who enjoyed golfing, bowling and fishing. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, and frequently helped his family on the farm. Herman took great pride in his family and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
    Survivors include his wife of 50 years: Juliana; two children: Richard (Linda) Juckem, Chilton; Sandra (Dan) Meyer, Chilton; five grandchildren: Erin, Jonathan and Justin Juckem, Brett and Joshua Meyer; his brothers and sisters: Tillie (Art) Kozminski, Greenfield; Mary Agnes (Tony) Leonhard, Chilton; Sr. Mary Carol, Milwaukee; Leonard (Carol) Juckem, Stockbridge; Ginny (Ray) Ries, Fond du Lac; Betty (George) Jost, Hilbert; Chuck (Liz) Juckem, Waukesha; Tony (Karen) Juckem, Crivitz; Rita (Stan) Timmer, Duluth, MN; and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Ellen (Harry) Sturtz, Olga (Ron) Kleist, Mary Ann (Joe) Roehrig, Clarence (Anne) Thuecks.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: George Juckem and John (Erna) Juckem; a sister-in-law, Elsie Juckem; and his father- and mother-in-law: Alois and Catherine Thuecks.
    Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2010, and on Friday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. when family prayers will be held. Prayer services will be held Thursday evening at the funeral home beginning at 7:30 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Herman J. Juckem.

    Obituary:
    Anthony W. Juckem, 73, Crivitz (formerly Chilton), died on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011. He was born June 8, 1938, in the Town of Chilton, son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Diedrich) Juckem. He married Karen Kufahl on Oct. 24, 1959, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge. Following his graduation from Chilton High School, he completed a heavy equipment certification program and worked for Hedrich Construction building bridges. Later he was co-owner of Juckem and Bancroft Inc. general contractors, and TDS Services tool and die business with his son. He also enjoyed farming his Tender Acres. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Chilton, and sang in the choir for over 20 years. After retiring to Crivitz, he belonged to Saint Mary's Catholic Church, Crivitz. He and his wife built their retirement home on the river of his dreams. He loved to bird watch, create in his woodworking shop, run his back hoe, read and help family and friends.
    Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years, Karen; two children, David (Michele), Chilton; Marceil Luedtke (Julia Rajtar), Roseville, Minn.; cherished grandson, Ben Luedtke, Sandy, Utah; brothers and sisters, Tillie (Art) Kozminski, Greenfield; Mary Agnes (Tony) Leonhard, Chilton; Sr. Mary Carol, Milwaukee; Leonard (Carol) Juckem, Stockbridge; Ginny (Ray) Ries, Fond du Lac; Betty (George) Jost, Hilbert; Rita (Stan) Timmer, Duluth, Minn.; and his sisters-in-law, Ellen (Harry) Sturtz, Julie (Herman) Juckem, and Liz (Charles) Juckem. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, George, John (Erma), Herman and Charles Juckem; a sister-in-law, Elsie Juckem; and his father and mother-in-law, Emil and Marceil Kufahl.
    His family wishes to thank the Bay Area Cancer Care Center and Unity Hospice. Memorials accepted toward establishing a scholarship in his memory for a Chilton High School graduate to pursue industrial arts.
    Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Crivitz, on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at 11 a.m. with visitation at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:45 Wednesday, Rev.
