    Obituary:
Michael John Horn, 50, died unexpectedly in his home in Larsen, Wisconsin on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
He was born Thursday, December 30, 1965, to Richard Lester and Carol (Van Boxtel) Horn at the Kaukauna Community Hospital. Mike was the brother to Douglas, Nicholas, Lisa Hoffman, and Thomas. Growing up he attended Kaukauna High School and excelled in everything he set forth to accomplish. One of these outstanding endeavors was his time as a boxer. Mike held numerous titles throughout his adolescent years including but not limited to Golden Gloves Champion and second place in his weight class at Nationals.
In his years after high school, Mike put his passion and ambition towards his many different career paths excelling as an industrial maintenance electrician and robotics engineer/programmer. He worked for many different companies and wore many different hats and was known as a "jack of all trades". If Mike did not know how to do something, he researched and worked until he figured out how to master what he set his mind to do. Mike's most recent positions held were that of Maintenance Supervisor at Mercury Marine, and thereafter, Triangle Corporation.
On Friday, June 22, 1990, Mike married Nancy Witthuhn and together they brought up their three children in the Neenah/Winneconne area where Mike established his life as a father and a fellow community member.
When Mike was not at work he could be found out on Lake Poygan fishing, out in the woods hunting, and every year, out west doing his passion of chasing elk up and down the mountains. He was known as a great coach and camp coordinator for the Winneconne area basketball program and was seen at many Winneconne sporting events cheering on his children and their teammates.
His greatest accomplishment was instilling in his three children, Jacob Richard, Zachary Douglas, and Morgan Christine with the wisdom and knowledge to not only be successful going forward in their lives, but to also be well-rounded stewards of the Lord.
Mike is survived by his wife, children, parents, siblings, and their families.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Jacob Horn.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, July 25, 2016, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A dinner will follow at the Fin n Feather, Winneconne.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Lake Poygan Sportsmen's Club. A memorial box will be placed at the funeral home.
If you wish please submit online condolences to muellerfuneralhomeinc.com.
