Verstegen, Janet C., Little C huteAge 79, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at Century Oaks. S he was born October 3, 1923 to the late Cornelius A. and Anne (Vanden Heuv el) Vandenberg. Janet married Norbert Verstegen in May of 1953 at St. Ther ese Catholic Church in Appleton and he preceded her in death in Septemb er of 1982. She was employed at the Verkuilen furniture store and Hannegr af Grocery Store for many years and belonged to St. John Church, Little Ch ute. Janet enjoyed visiting the casino, bowling and spending time with fam ily and friends at the cottage on Loon Lake. Janet is survived by three si sters-in-law: Margaret Vandenberg, Frances Becker and Grace Verstegen. S he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preced ed in death by her husband, Norbert Verstegen; her parents; two sisters: B etty Rickert and Adele Abendroth-Manteuffel; three brothers: Jack (Mary ), Tony (Pat) and Paul Vandenberg; six brothers-in-law: Ed Rickert, Paul A bendroth, Walter Manteuffel, Paul Becker, James Verstegen and Lankey (Caro l) Verstegen; a sister-in-law, Blanche (Norman) Wiedenhaupt.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, at St. Jo hn Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute, with Reverend Msgr. James Van den Hogen officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukaun a. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p. m. Friday.
