From the webpages; http://www.eskimo.com/~lisanne/uselding/Nicholas Ney was the fifth child of John Peter Ney and Margaret Mans. He w as born in Belgium 12 March 1883. His birth is recorded in Ozaukee Coun ty records (2-2036). Nicholas was baptized at Lake Church on 17 March 18 83 and his godparents were Nicholas Mans (maternal uncle) and Maryanne Sch ilz (relationship unknown). He received his First Communion at Holy Cro ss Church on 30 June 1895. His Confirmation was at Holy Cross on 31 Augu st 1896 and his sponsor was Dominic Meyer.
Nicholas married Margaret Uselding on 8 Feb 1910 at St. Joseph Catholic Ch urch in Grafton, Ozaukee County (8-269). Margaret was born 5 February 18 87 in Fredonia and was the daughter of John Evangelist Uselding and Cather ine Lauters, themselves of Luxembourg descent. Nicholas and Margaret liv ed in Chicago for six years and during this time their oldest two childre n, Jerome Joseph and Eugene Pierre, were born. In 1916 the family mov ed to Boise, Idaho where the climate was hoped to be better for Margare t, suffering from tuberculosis. After their arrival in Idaho, Nicholas a nd Margaret had two daughters, Margaret Mary Theresa and Josephine Virgini a. Nicholas worked as a court reporter and police judge. Margaret di ed 11 July 1928 in Caldwell, Idaho. Nicholas married Sarah Elizabeth Guthr idge on 3 February 1940 at St. Mary's Church in Caldwell. Nicholas di ed on 2 January 1966 in Caldwell and is buried at Canyon Hill Cemete ry in Caldwell. (Appendices 23-35)
