    Bernice M. Bressers, 89, De Pere, passed away Friday morning Sept. 1, 200 6. The daughter of the late John and Cora (Brochtrup) De Byl was born Ju ly 24, 1917, in Forest Junction. Bernice married Sylvester Bressers Aug. 1 0, 1940, at St. Mary Catholic Church, De Pere. He preceded her in death Ap ril 20, 2003. Bernice was a member of St. Mary Catholic Community. She w as a devoted mother and grandmother.
    Bernice is survived by three daughters, Suzanne (Vern) Pahl, De Pere; Bet ty Ann DeTennis, Allouez and her friend Ken Gnewuch; Julianne (Bob) Kidne y, De Pere; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Michelle) Pahl, Kelley (Cha d) Ramos, Alex DeTennis, Trina Hamstra, Paul (Kim) DeTennis III, Nicole Ki dney, Sarah (Tyler) Mead, six great-grandchildren, six step grandchildre n, Susan (Robert) Prall, Steven (Cynthia) Pahl, Brian (Deborah) Pahl, Sand ra Birchfield, James (Mary) Pahl, Thomas (Kami) Pahl; 18 step great-grandc hildren; one step great-great-grandchild. Mass of Christian Burial 5:30 Tuesday at the church with Rev. Jo hn H. Harper and Rev. David Duffeck officiating. Entombment in Allouez Mau soleum.

    Genevieve M. Donarski, 91, Green Bay resident, died Wednesday afternoon, December 12, 2012 at a local nursing home. She was born November 11, 1921 in Forest Junction, WI to the late John and Cora (Brochtrup) De Byl. Gen attended East De Pere High School graduating in 1939 as valedictorian of her class. She remained in De Pere until she married Edward Donarski in 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in De Pere. Edward preceded her in death in 1992. Prior to her marriage, Gen was employed at the former Smith and Smith Law Firm and the De Pere Federal Savings and Loan Association. She was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Angels Parish, their Altar Society and Friendship Club.
    Gen is survived by five children: Darlene (Mark) Castonia, Ashwaubenon; Gail Hansen, Denmark; John Donarski, Mark (Alison) Donarski and Paul (Valorie Helander) Donarski, all of Green Bay; nine grandchildren: Amy (Ray) Sears; James (Linda) Hansen; Tammy Castonia; Angela (Terry) Long; Audra Castonia; Ryan Donarski; Kevin Donarski; Brian Donarski and Jason Donarski; four great grandchildren: Steven and Leah Sears; Abigail and Jonah Long; nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Roger L. Hansen; her brother, Leo (Evelyn) De Byl; two sisters: Bernice (Sylvester) Bressers and LaVerne (Gerald) Schweiner.

    La Verne T. Schweiner, 77, Green Bay, passed away peacefully March 29, 2006 at Wyndemere Estates in Green Bay. La Verne was born on October 4, 1928 in Kiel, WI to the late John and Cora (Brochtrup) DeByl. She was a graduate of East DePere High School. On June 26, 1954 she married Gerald Schweiner at St. Mary?s Church in DePere and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2000. In her life her work as a homemaker was most important to her but she also worked for 40 years as a legal secretary at Smith, Smith and Roels in De Pere. She also volunteered at Bellin Hospital. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay. She enjoyed time with family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, doing puzzles and going for walks.
    She will be sadly missed by her children: Rob (Linda) Schweiner, DePere, Dave (Linda) Schweiner, Green Bay, Jeff (Linda) Schweiner, Eau Claire, Greg Schweiner, Sleepy Hollow, IL, Dan (Lisa) Schweiner, Green Bay, Marie (John) Smith, Green Bay; ten grandchildren, Eric, Alex, Tessa, Erika, Ashley, Justin, Stacey, Rachel, Jason and Micah; two sisters, Bernice Bressers and Gen Donarski; as well as other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gerry; and one brother, Leo DeByl.

    John David DeByl, 66, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2017. He was born in Green Bay on June 26, 1950 to the late Leo and Evelyn (Coopman) DeByl, and spent most of his life living in Green Bay. John was employed for many years by ShopKo and worked in the first ShopKo store in Green Bay. Most recently, he worked at Home Depot and enjoyed retail sales. John was a 1968 graduate of Green Bay West High School and attended NWTC over the years. He was a true Packers fan and loved collecting memorabilia. Until recently, he always had his faithful dog "Jack" with him until he passed last year.
    Survived by 3 brothers, Gary (Jan), DePere, Tom & Rick, Phoenix, AZ. Further survived by multiple cousins, and Kitty Thomas, Mother of Jesse & Tim, and Shari Hight, Mother of Jonathan.
    In addition to his parents, Leo and Evelyn, John was preceded in death by various aunts and uncles.
    Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, on Thursday, June 1 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A service will be held near the end of the visitation. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
