    DeBruin, Urban F., KimberlyAge 80, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 3, 2003. He was born in L ittle Chute on May 12, 1923, son of the late William and Catherine (Voster s) DeBruin. On August 27, 1946, he married Rita Verstegen at St. John Cath olic Church, Little Chute. He retired from Combined Locks Paper Mill in 19 85 after working 44 years as a machinist. Urban loved to make things and e njoyed working with wood. He was able to fix just about anything and was a lways willing to help anyone. Urban was an avid fisherman and particular ly loved fishing for Northern in Wisconsin Lakes. He was a wonderful, cari ng husband and father and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.Urban is survived by his wife Rita, six children: Nancy (Kenneth) Geig er of Appleton, Kenneth (Pat) DeBruin of Combined Locks, Leo (Fran) DeBru in of Combined Locks, Janet (James) Burwitz of Appleton, Roy (Debra) DeBru in of Freedom, Glen (Amy) DeBruin of Combined Locks; 15 grandchildren: An n, Mike, Jeff, Greg (Mollie), Jennifer, Terrie (Jeff), Kristina, Ben, Kat e, Andy, Adam, Jessica, Dan, Melissa and Kevin; five great grandchildre n; sister, Ceil Nelessen of Little Chute; and a sister-in-law, Marie DeBru in.Urban is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Antone, Berna rd (Margaret) and Quintin (Johanna); two sisters, Betty (Urban) Nelessen a nd Jeanette (Ben) Hoersch; brother-in-law, Clarence Nelessen; and two gran dchildren: Curt DeBruin and Joshua Burwitz.The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2003, at HO LY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 East Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, with Fr. Thom as Pomeroy officiating. Friends will be received at Jansen Fargo Funeral H ome on Friday, June 6, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a prayer servi ce at 7 p.m. and at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10: 30 a.m..     Bruin, Kenneth J. "K en"Kenneth J. DeBruin, age 57 years, died Sunday, July 30, 2006 as a resu lt of a boating accident in Forest County. He was born September 30, 19 48 in Appleton the son of Urban and Rita (Verstegen) DeBruin. Ken marri ed Patricia Felton on January 3, 1970 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in A ppleton. He was employed at Appleton Coated in Combined Locks for ov er 35 years. Ken enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. He was a memb er of the Urban Klister Post 436 American Legion, Wrightstown. Ken was esp ecially proud of the new cottage he recently built with the help of his fa mily and friends on Pine Lake in Forest County. He loved spending time wi th his grandchildren and was always willing to help his family and frien ds with their projects.Ken is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pat DeBruin of Combined Locks; mo ther, Rita DeBruin of Kimberly; son, Greg (Mollie) DeBruin of Appleton; gr andchildren: Isabel and Curtis DeBruin; sisters: Nancy (Ken) Geiger and Ja net (Jim) Burwitz both of Appleton; brothers: Leo (Fran) DeBruin of Combin ed Locks, Roy (Debbie) DeBruin of Appleton and Glen (Amy) DeBruin of Combi ned Locks and sister-in-law, Mary (Gerald) Larson of Cedarburg. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace St., Combined Loc ks with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Interment will take place at St. Paul C atholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 9 a.m. until the ti me of service. A memorial fund has been established in his name.

    DeBruin, Curtis J. 15 11 W. Kimberly AvenueKimberlyAge 28, passed away unexpectedly at work on Wednesday, December 18, 200 2. Curt was born in Appleton on December 16, 1974; the son of Ken and P at (Felton) DeBruin of Combined Locks. Curt was a 1992 graduate of the Kim berly High School and for a short time worked as a carpenter. Later, he be came interested in electrical work. He trained to become a journeyman elec trician, and was currently employed by Enterprise Electric. Curt was an av id Packer fan and enjoyed attending the home games. He also loved music, h ad an extensive record collection, and enjoyed playing the drums. Mo st of his time was spent improving his recently purchased home in Kimberly .Curt is survived by his parents, Ken and Pat DeBruin, Combined Locks; h is paternal grandparents, Urban and Rita DeBruin, Kimberly; a brother, Gr eg (Mollie) DeBruin, Appleton; his special friend, Melanie Marasch and h er son Bailey, Combined Locks; his good friend and roommate, Greg Plass, K imberly; as well as by several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, a nd many friends and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his maternal g randparents Jerrold and Sybil Felton, an uncle George Felton, an aunt Je an Ruebekeil, and a cousin Robbin Roberts.The funeral liturgy for Curt will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, Decem ber 21, 2002 at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace Street in Combin ed Locks with Fr. Robert Vandenberg officiating. Interment will be in t he parish cemetery.
