    Obituary:
    Doris Coulthard, Appleton, age 89, passed away Monday, November 17, 2008, at Emerald Valley in Appleton. Doris was born in Appleton on August 6, 1919, daughter of the late Richard and Frieda (Krinkle) Lemke, and was a 1937 graduate of the Appleton High School. She married Homer Coulthard, Sr. on September 25, 1943, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton; Homer preceded her in death in 1976. As a young woman, Doris worked at Scolding Locks, and later in life enjoyed raising her family and caring for her grandchildren.
    She is survived by four children: Homer "Butch" (Kris) Coulthard of Appleton; Jeff (Yvonne) Coulthard of Appleton; Cindy (Mark) Seif of Menasha; and Bruce (Lynn) Coulthard of Menasha. There are twenty grandchildren: Bill Coulthard, John (Vicki) Coulthard, Tim (Stacy) Coulthard, Michael (Kari) Coulthard, Amy (Greg) Penterman, Jeff (Angie) Coulthard, Diane (Troy) Trice, Jenny (John) Hayes, Sandy Brouillard, Tom Brouillard, Mike Brouillard, Brandi Katsma, Stacey Derus, Crystal Rice, Robby Kacynski, Leloni Coulthard, Ryan Coulthard, Kevin Coonen, Isaac Coonen, and Lance Coonen; twenty-six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Doris is also survived by a brother, Richard (LaVerne) Lemke of Appleton, and by two brothers-in-law: Grant and Leo Coulthard.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Homer in 1976, an infant son, brothers Clarence (Connie) Lemke and Bobby (Bev) Lemke, and a sister Ruth (Erv) Roocks.
    The Christian Funeral for Doris will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008, at BETHANY EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 530 W. Parkway Blvd. in Appleton with Rev. Darin D. Aden officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the services.
    The family would like to extend their thanks to the entire staff at Emerald Valley for taking such good care of Doris during her stay. You made her so very comfortable, and we will never forget your kindness. Doris' great-granddaughter, Tiffany, also cared for her great-grandma at Emerald Valley, and we will always remember how that special care was given.

    Brenda E. (Lemke) Luca, 50, Tallahassee, Fla., formerly of Appleton, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, with her husband at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Brenda was born on June 24, 1957, in Appleton, Wis., to Richard W. and Laverna (Pingel) Lemke. She graduated from Appleton East High School in 1975 and attended U.W. Eau Claire. After graduating in 1980 with a Chemistry/Business degree, Brenda moved to Ohio, working at B. F. Goodrich where she met her future husband. Brenda was united in marriage to Roger Luca on Aug. 25, 1984, in Appleton, Wis. They moved to Pougkeepsie, N.Y., from Ohio until their final move in 1988 with their young family to Tallahassee, Fla.
    In addition to devoting her time and self to her husband and twin boys, Brenda also was successful in the business world for years. In Tallahassee she was a tireless volunteer and raised funds for many organizations and charities. She especially loved tutoring children, which she did both in Ohio and Florida. Brenda and her husband started the Roger and Brenda Luca Family Endowment through the Tallahassee Healthcare Foundation at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. The Endowment goal is to help cancer patients who don't have adequate health insurance and don't qualify for Medicaid.
    Brenda is survived by her husband, Roger Luca; her twin sons, Wil and Jarrod Luca, Tallahassee, Fla.; her parents, Richard W. and Laverna (Pingel) Lemke, Appleton; three sisters, Marlene (David) Radloff, Ft. Collins, Colo.; Beverly (David) Stone, Salt Lake City, Utah; her twin sister, Davina (Charles) Moorehead, Appleton; two brothers, Richard (Barbara) Lemke, Appleton; Scott (Jean) Lemke, Kaukauna; five nieces, Corie Stone, Crystal (Timothy) Stone-Fulton and their son Tyson, Cally (Scott) Stone-Nichols, Melissa Lemke, Christina Lemke (fiance Thomas Pack); two nephews, Jeremy Moorehead and Eric Moorehead. Brenda is further survived by her mother-in-law, Irene Luca; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Paul) Morris and their two daughters, Stephanie and Katherine.
    Brenda was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Steve Luca.
    Funeral services were held at Good Shepherd Parish, Tallahassee, Fla., on Dec. 3, 2007, with Father Michael Foley officiating. Burial was held at Culley's Meadow Wood Memorial Park in Tallahassee, Fla. on Dec. 4, 2007.
    Brenda will be truly missed by family, relatives, and friends. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Brenda impacted all the lives she touched with her optimism, sense of humor, strength, and compassion for others. Brenda's spirit will live on forever.
    Memorial donations may be made to the Luca Family Endowment at TMH Foundation Inc., 1331 E. Sixth Avenue, Tallahassee, FL, 32303.
