    Obituary:
    William Dean Hoks, 83, of Iola, WI, passed away Saturday, June 3rd, at his residence. Bill was born in Town of Wheatfield, New York on March 4, 1934, a son of the late Margaret (Gillen) and William T Hoks. He married Betty Pingle in 1960. She preceded him in death in 1980. Bill later married Joanne Seelow on Oct. 13, 1990 at Immanual Lutheran in Neenah. She preceded him in death on Sept. 27, 2014. Bill was a member of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Iola. He served in the United States Army 11th Airborne Division from 1953-1956. He worked at the Neenah Foundry from 1956 to 1961, Bergstrom Paper from 1961 to 1996. Bill was a life member of the 11th Airborne Division Assoc., and active in 4-H and Little League. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #14 Iola. He enjoyed turkey hunting along with deer hunting.
    He is survived by his Children: Kellena (Jerry) Steinike, Dean (Gwen) Hoks, Janet (Robert) Hoks-Moore, David (Peggy) Hoks, Ronald (Analyn) Hoks, Jeffrey Hoks; Step Children: Debra (Jim) Schweitzer, Jeff (Marcia) Seelow, Steve (Janet) Seelow, Paul (Sue) Seelow. Also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by a great grandchild,Brother: Gerald Hoks and Sister: Patricia Johnson. Funeral Service will be held at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church, Iola, Wisconsin, at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 9th, with Reverend Michael Lilianthal officiating. Visitation will be held Friday 9:30-11:00 am at the church. Interment will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Winchester, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #14 or the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge . The family would like to thank Ministry Hospice for the excellent care provided to Bill.

    Obituary:
    Patricia Ann Johnson, age 77, of Neenah, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton after a lengthy illness. Pat was born December 1, 1937, in Niagara Falls, New York, the daughter of William T. and Margaret E. (Gillen) Hoks.
    On June 13, 1977, she married Eugene (Coyote) Johnson in Appleton. Gene preceded Pat in death in July of 2005.
    Pat was a member of the I.U.C.C. in Neenah. She was also an avid member of the Y.M.C.A. of Neenah and enjoyed playing cards.
    She is survived by her daughters, Donna Tank and her children, Paul and Lindsey Valley, Scott and Tiffany Valley, Larry and Jessica Tank, and Kyle Tank (fiancée Ryann Strobel); Betty (Jim) Recob and their children, Angela (Jason) Hansen, Alicia Soleberg, Andrew (Laura) Recob, and Adam (Brittany) Recob; Ruth (Dick) Colling and their children, Richie Beckerson, William Beckerson, Shane Wagner, Renee Wagner, Allyson Colling, Christopher Colling (fiancée Kimmie) and Chad Colling; her son, Tony Johnson and his daughters, Jessica Michler and Alescha Mathe; granddaughter, Heather Mathis (daughter of the late Eddie Mathis); 24 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; and her brother, William Hoks. Pat is further survived by 2 special nephews, Lance Johnson and Dickie Messman; and her former husband, Cliff Mathis.
    In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene (Coyote) Johnson; son, Eddie Mathis; 2 grandchildren, Dawn and Timmy; great-grandson, Jasiyah; grandson-in-law, Scott Soleberg and her brother, Gerry Hoks.
    Family and friends may call on Monday, January 19, 2015, from 10:30 A.M. -12 Noon, at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond Street, Appleton. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Jim Schmitz officiating.

    Mathis, Edward J.Edward J. Mathis, age 39, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 21, 200 5, at Theda Clark Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1966, in Kaukau na to Clifford Mathis and Patricia Hoks Mathis Johnson. Eddie enjoyed hunt ing, fishing, and traveling with his friends. He was a little guy with a b ig heart and was loved by all who knew him.He is survived by a daughter, Heather Mathis of Menasha; his father, Cliff ord Mathis of Hortonville; his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Euge ne Johnson of Neenah; three sisters, Donna Tank, Betty (Jim) Recob, and Ru th (Dick) Colling; one brother, Tony Johnson; two stepsisters, Rose (Al) H oneck and Sandy (Larry) Miedam; one stepbrother, Neal Johnson. Eddie is al so survived by: Godparents, Carol and Jerry Van Der Steen; and many aunt s, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, special Godson: Larry Tank; three gre at nephews, one great niece and many special friends.He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Mathis; paternal grandpare nts, Peter and Theresa Mathis; maternal grandparents, William and Margar et Hoks; a niece, Dawn Valley; and a nephew, Timothy Tank.A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at Val ley Funeral Home, with Father David Schmidt officiating. Visitation wi ll be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Buri al will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Kaukauna. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
