    Obituary:
    Ronald Van Groll (The "Ole" Troubadour), age 80, of Darboy, WI, passed away July 29, 2012, with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Ron was born March 30, 1932, in Green Bay, WI. He married Terry Van Eperen 59 years ago on August 1, 1953.
    Ron was very proud to have served in the US Marine Corps in 1953 and 1954. He was a member of the VFW Post 3319, Kaukauna, WI and the American Legion Post 38, Appleton, WI. Ron played music on Friday nights at the American Legion in Appleton for over 17 years. Singing and playing music was his passion, which he began at the age of three. Ron played various instruments including the accordion which he played since the age of seven. He was a well known and much loved professional musician. Ron and his wife Terry established Ron & Terry's Rendezvous in 1971 in Little Chute. They owned and operated the business for 17 years where he continued to entertain. Ron performed throughout the state of Wisconsin and also in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota.
    Ron is survived by his wife Terry and their four children: Larry (Laura), Leo (Lynn), and Louie (Linda) Van Groll and Lisa Rubio. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Mike, Dave (Jessi), Nathen, Amanda, Lea, Stephanie, Paige, Shane and Julie Van Groll, Anthony "AJ", Jaci and Dante Rubio, Sarah (James) Schimmelpfenning and great grandchildren: Lexi, Domnyck, Braydyn, Cierra, Dominic, and Shanel Van Groll, Braelyn and Brianna Schimmelpfenning. Other survivors include brothers- and sisters-in-law: Tony Van Eperen, June (Floyd) Miller, Mary (Gordon) Becker, Mickey Byrd and Jeannine Van Eperen, and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Ron was preceded in death by his beautiful daughters: Linda and Louann Van Groll, his parents, Joe and Mary Van Groll, his father- and mother-in-law: Art and Erma Van Eperen, and brothers- and sisters-in-law: Lou, Dick, Donnie, Roger (Norma), Dorothy and Theresa Van Eperen, Floyd Byrd and Ann Thompson.
    Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Holy Spirit Parish (Holy Angels), W2796 Cty Hwy KK, Darboy, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the Mass. Military honors will be performed by the United States Marine Corps, VFW Post 3319 and American Legion Post 38 following the services at the church.
    The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Bill and Celene Romenesko, Leo and Irene Biese, Bob Buechler and Theda Care at home Hospice for all of their wonderful support.
