    Norma A. Bergholz, 93 of Greenville was welcomed into eternal life March 5, 2012 at Living Tree Estates, Greenville. She was born October 28, 1918, daughter of the late Theodore and Ella (Uhlenbrauck) Forbeck. Norma married Willard Bergholz on April 12, 1942, they celebrated 52 years together. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1995.
    Norma was a long time member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Appleton. She enjoyed gardening, working on puzzles, playing cards and bingo with her family and friends. She mostly enjoyed her visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren

    Anita A. "Tootie" (Forbeck) Thyssen, 92, Town of Center, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 20, 2011. She was born in Appleton, on December 11, 1918, the daughter of the late Emil and Amanda (Wendt) Forbeck. On April 19, 1941, she married Raymond Thyssen. Tootie was proud to raise their children on the family farm in the Town of Center. She was known for her love of bowling, knitting and needlework.
    Tootie is survived by her children, Judy (Jim) Deimer, Hortonville; and Tom (Jean) Thyssen, Town of Center; grandchildren, Tim (Renee) Deimer, Kris (Irenee) Philippe, Rick Deimer, Steve (Jen), Mike (Lisa Van Able), Sherry (Tom Biese) and Joe (Lori) Thyssen; 17 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Janet (Don) Bousley.
    She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ray; granddaughter, Kari Deimer; great-grandson, Ashton Ray Philippe; sister, Mary (Paul) Schmitz; brother, Ken (Jane) Forbeck; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

Drews (nee Techlin), while surround ed by her loving family, took her smile and warm heart from her earthly ho me in Appleton to her eternal home with her Lord. She was born October 25t h, 1940, to the Edwin and Leona (Harm) Techlin. A graduate of Freedom Hi gh School, Joan married Ivan Drews on August 21st, 1965. She loved to spend her free time worki ng on her flower beds, traveling with her family, cooking delicious homema de treats and working on jigsaw puzzles. She will be forever remembered f or her gentle spirit and the magnificent doilies and afghans that she lovi ng created for family and friends.
    Joan is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Ivan; her daughter, D iane Drews of Oshkosh; two brothers: Fred (Pat) Techlin of Freedom and Ca rl (Betty Ann) Techlin of Appleton; her sister, Janet (Ted) Daelke of Appl eton.     age 69, Appleton, entered eternal glory at Appleton Medical Center on Dec. 6, 2012 after a six-week battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Carl was born on February 7, 1943, the son of Edwin and Leona (Harm) Techlin. He became a child of God through Holy Baptism on March 7, 1943 and was confirmed at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church on April 14, 1957. Carl graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in 1961. After graduating from Fox Valley Technical College, Carl was employed at Consolidated Freightways where he worked for 39 years. He served in the Army National Guard 32nd Division from 1964-1970. Carl married the love of his life, Betty Ann Bast, on Oct. 16, 1965 at Emmanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in New London, WI. After retiring from Consolidated Freightways, Carl was involved in many volunteer activities at his home congregation of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton. He especially enjoyed time spent at the cottage on Brekke Lake that he and Betty built in 1977. Traveling was another blessing Carl and Betty enjoyed, with memorable trips all over the United States, England and France. His 8 grandchildren were a great source of joy for Carl and many special memories were made with them at the cottage and while attending their activities. Carl was a God-fearing, patient, soft-spoken and loving man who could fix almost anything and always enjoyed working on a challenging project.
    He was preceded in death by his parents: Edwin and Leona (Harm) Techlin; his sister, Joan Drews; his sister-in-law, Patricia Techlin; his parents-in-law, William Bast and May Bast Glasenapp.
    Carl is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Ann; his daughter, Cindy (Jeremy) Thiesfeldt of Fond du Lac, and son, Bradly (Dee Ann) Techlin of Brookfield; his eight grandchildren whom he dearly loved, Hannah, Rachel, Lydia and Joshua Thiesfeldt, and Carley, Emily, Alyssa and Jessica Techlin; a sister, Janet (Ted) Daelke; a brother Fred Techlin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard and Jane Bast, brother-in-law Ivan Drews; nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed listening to Country Western music, dancing with Tom in the kitchen, and spending time with her dog, Flicka.

    She is survived by her husband, Bob; her daughter, Erica (Craig) Jensen, Burlington; her son, Michael (Heather) Stevenson, Grand Chute; her sister, Patricia (Thomas Derby) Nelson, Appleton; and her nephew, Erik (Deanna) Nelson, Hudson, and their children, Alexandria and Molly. She has four beloved grandchildren, Christian and Ethan Jensen; Samantha and Cassandra Stevenson. Gail is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her infant son.
    Family would like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Kevin Mortara, Patricia Martin and the entire upbeat staff at The Martha Siekman Cancer Center.
    The funeral service for Gail will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Gail's name can be made to the Martha Siekman Cancer Center.

    Obituary:
    Karin A. Deimer, 31, of Greenville, met the Angels on Sunday, December 12, 2010. She was born on February 11, 1979, in Appleton, the daughter of James and Judith (Thyssen) Deimer. Kari graduated from St. Mary's Grade School, Hortonville High School Class of 1997 and UW-Oshkosh in 2004. Kari served in the Army National Guard for the past thirteen years and was commissioned as an Officer on January 7, 2004. On April 1, 2008, she was promoted to Captain. Kari was the Company Commander for Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC) 132nd Brigade Support Battalion. She served a tour of duty for Hurricane Katrina and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Kari was employed as a Design Specialist with the Marketing Team at Community First Credit Union.
    Kari is survived by her parents: Jim and Judy Deimer, Hortonville; sister: Kris (Irenee) Philippe, Hortonville; brothers: Tim (Renee) Deimer, Greenville and Rick Deimer, Greenville; niece: Danielle Deimer; nephews: Dustin Deimer, Irenee Philippe and Brendan Philippe and grandmother: Anita Thyssen, Appleton. She is further survived by her uncle, aunts, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
    Kari was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Hilda Deimer; step-grandmother, Marcella Deimer and grandfather, Ray Thyssen; nephew, Ashton Ray Philippe and uncle, George Paltzer.
    The funeral liturgy for Karin will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, N2385 Municipal Drive, Greenville. Father Justin Werner will be officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held on Wednesday evening at the Wichmann Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again at the church on Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of mass. A memorial fund is being established in Kari's name.
    Kari's family would like to thank Dr. Aayman Saad and the Hematology and Oncology Units at Milwaukee VA Medical Center, Dr. Kevin Mortara, Dr. John Swanson and the nursing staff at Martha Siekman Cancer Center; the nursing staff at Appleton Medical Center and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for the excellent care and compassion shown to Kari and our family during this difficult time.
