Obituary:
Stanley J. "Stan The Man" Gracyalny, 90, of Kaukauna, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 28, 1923, in Hofa Park, WI, son of the late Victor and Frances (Majewski) Gracyalny. On September 19, 1961, Stan married Sharon Wydeven. He was well known in this area for his 60 years driving race cars on many area dirt and asphalt tracks. Stan was in the driver's seat until he was 80 years old. He owned and operated "Stan's Auto Body" in Kaukauna for many years. Stan loved to play sheepshead and race, but the biggest passion of his life was his family.
Stan is survived by his wife, Sharon; children: Beatrice (Glenn) Moen, Stan Jr. (Nancy), Beverly (Woody) Howland, LaRae Schell, Terriann (Randy) Van Den Eng, Dave (special friend, Pam), Leann (Chris) La Rocque, Danny (special friend Renee), Jessica (Randy) Van Roy; grandchildren: Michelle, Kari, Jenna, Steve, Andy, John, Kelly, Nicole, Sarah, Betsy, Chris, Craig, Ashley, Cody, Cole, Jordan, Logan, Brett; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Tony (Mary Ann) Gracyalny; a sister, Therese (Louie) Lasek; mother-in-law, Cina Wydeven; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jim (Judy) Wydeven, Lynn (Joe) Strick, Kay (Duane) DeGroot, Barb (Frank) Gifford; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and special friends.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents; former wives: Charolette Kuss and Millie Modl; sisters: Rose, and Catherine (Ed) Wendzikowski; a brother, John (Bertha); sisters-in-law: Bev (Jerry) Van Toll and Becky Phillips.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, December 27, 2013, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Stan's family wishes to thank the staffs at Parkside Care Center and St. Elisabeth Hospital, as well as Dr. Scott and Dr. Cherian and their staffs, for all of their wonderful care and compassion shown to their dad.
