Obituary:
Eugene E. Stadler, age 86, passed away on Monday evening, October 29, 2012, at Rennes Health and Rehab Center. He was born on March 19, 1926, in Appleton, the son of the late Joseph and Cecelia (Hilger) Stadler. On October 2, 1956, he was united in marriage to Carol Kottke. Eugene worked for over 35 years at Consolidated Papers in Appleton with two of his brothers. After retirement, Eugene enjoyed taking long walks with his dog, Jordan, and also enjoyed playing a game or two of Sheepshead with his family and friends.
Eugene is survived by his children, Steve Stadler, Sherwood, David (Glenda) Stadler, Black Creek and their children, Craig, Megan Grusczynski and Paul Anderson; Paul (Peggy) Stadler, Little Chute and their children, Benjamin, Justin, Angela, and Sadie; and Richard Stadler, Appleton; one brother, Cyril (Doris) Stadler; two sisters, Donna Reynebeau and Marilyn (Jim) Ebben; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Stadler and Mary Stadler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, one sister, Joyce (Vince) VanderLogt and three brothers, Ronald (Bernice) Stadler, Gerald and Jerome Stadler, and brother-in-law Gerald Reynebeau.
Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, Appleton, with Father Donald Zuleger officiating. Friends and family may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial fund in Eugene's name is being established.
