    Dix, Helen M. (Janz)
    Helen, age 73, of Punta Gorda, FL died Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda, FL. She was the daughter of the late Myrtle M. and Henry L. Janz. Helen was born August 28, 1931. She worked for Badger Northland for a number of years, and originally retired to a home on Lake Metonga, Crandon before moving to Florida. Helen was extremely fond of her two poodles, Penny and Lady.
    Helen is survived by her husband, Wallis O. "Sonny" Dix; four children: Marvin (Kathy) Van Wychen, Margaret (Michael) Maes, Kenneth (Lynn) Van Wychen, and Norman (Micki) Van Wychen; and a daughter-in-law, Connie Van Wychen. She is further survived by three brothers and two sisters: Marvin (Elsie) Janz, Dorothy Liepins, Joan (Jerry) Klarer, Larry Janz, and Jim (Sue) Janz; nine grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Elroy "Bud" Dix; and a sister-in-law, Tootie Magaurn.
    She was preceded in death by her son, Terence Van Wychen; brothers, Robert Janz and infant Gerald Janz; and a grandchild, Jeff Thorson.
    It was Helen's wish to be cremated and requested a private family service. The family was assisted by ICS Cremation Society Inc. in Punta Gorda, FL. Our wishes are that any remembrances or contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

    Marvin H. Van Wychen passed away at home on Thursday, June 7, 2012, in the loving arms of his wife Kathy. He fought an admirable three year battle with pancreatic cancer.
    He was born on March 14, 1949, in Appleton to Melvin and Helen (Janz) Van Wychen. Marv worked at Webex Inc. for 18 years and then Axle Tech International until the time of his illness. Marv's passions in life were Kathy, hunting, fishing, golfing, and bowling.
    Marv is survived by his wife, Kathy (Rozek) Van Wychen; his son, Paul Van Wychen, and grandchildren, Brianna, Emma, and Henry; stepson, Bryan (Julia) Thorson, and grandchildren, Caroline and Douglas; his father, Melvin Van Wychen; brothers, Kenny (Lynn) Van Wychen, Norm (Micki) Van Wychen; sister, Mugs (Mike) Maes; sister-in-law, Connie Van Wychen, stepbrothers, Mike (Karen) Wilquet, Ron (Diane) Wilquet; stepsister, Peggy (Dave) Hopp; in-laws, Roger (Sherry) Rozek, Ron Rozek, and Debbie (Frank) Robinson. He is also survived by many other relatives as well as good friends, Al Mathison, Gary Presteen, and Jay Jack.
    Marv was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Dix; brother, Terry Van Wychen; stepmother, Millie Van Wychen; stepfather, Wally Dix; stepbrother, Richard Wilquet, and stepson, Jeffery Thorson.
    A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Appleton Alliance Church, 2693 W. Grand Chute Blvd., Appleton, with Pastor Mark Tegtmeier officiating. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
    A memorial in Marv's name has been established for the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.

    Van Wychen, Terry A.Terry A. Van Wychen, age 54, was given the promise of "eternal life" on Au gust 22, 2004, after a courageous, painful battle with pancreatic cance r. He died at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Janua ry 27, 1950 to Melvin and Helen Van Wychen. Terry graduated from Kaukau na High School in 1968 and was drafted in the Army in the Fall of 196 9. He married his high school sweetheart, Connie Pynenberg, on April 9, 19 70, and she joined him during his service duty in Germany. His love for h is wife and family was always evident in all that he did. He loved his t wo sons, Ben and Jacob, and was very proud of the men they had become. Ter ry had started out as a carpenter with his Uncle Rich Van Wychen and al so worked as a lead foreman for the Trade Mark Construction and Syring Dev elopment. In March of 1982, he was hired at Wisconsin Tissue, now kno wn as SCA and was currently working as a shift trainer up until his illnes s. Terry was well respected as an employee and always willing to help anyo ne. You could "bet" on it. Terry was a member of St. Nicholas Church in Fr eedom and also a member of Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258 in Litt le Chute. Terry loved the outdoors. He always said that he was pretty clo se to being in Heaven when sitting out in his deer hunting stand or o ut on a lake fishing.He is survived by his loving wife, Connie; his children, Benjamin (speci al friend, Dawn), of Freedom; and Jacob (special friend, Rachel Keller ), of Little Chute; two cherished grandsons, Spencer and Trevor; his fathe r, Melvin Van Wychen, of De Pere; his mother and step-father Helen and Wal ly Dix, of Florida; brothers, Marvin (Kathy), Neenah; Ken (Lynn) Kaukaun a; Norm (Micky), Kaukauna; a sister, Mugs (Michael Maes), Kaukauna; step-b rothers and sister, Dick, Mike, Ron and Peg Wilquet. He is further surviv ed by his mother-in-law, Blanche Pynenberg, Little Chute; his sister-in-la w, Donna (Dave Wunrow), Seymour; brothers-in-law, Ron (Sue) Pynenberg, Kim berly; Joe (Vicky) Pynenberg, Little Chute; and Tim Pynenberg, Appleto n. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Gerald Pynenberg; a step-mo ther, Mildred Van Wychen; and a nephew, Cory Pynenberg.Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004 at St. Ni cholas Church in Freedom, with the Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Interme nt will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Freedom with Military Hono rs conducted by Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258.
