Schink, outagamie County deputy coroner, said Gerrits di ed of a heart attack. he had a history of heart trouble. Gerrits reported ly collapsed in the church restroom. He retired in 1966 from the Thilma ny pulp and Paper Co., where he had worked for 49 years.

    Ruth Marie (Bries) Baeten, 90, Wrightstown, passed away quietly with her family, on Saturday, July 4, 2009, at Good Shepherd Home in Seymour. She was born in Green Bay on November 20, 1918, to the late Jule and Anna (Gerrits) Bries. She graduated from Wrightstown High School. Ruth married Clarence A. "Larry" Baeten at St. Paul Catholic Church, Wrightstown on November 20, 1945. They were long-time residents of Wrightstown, where they operated a service station. He passed away June 14, 1983.
    Ruth was a lifelong member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Wrightstown, and a member of the Christian Mothers Society. Ruth was an excellent wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed tending her vegetable garden and flower gardens, and was especially fond of her rose bushes. She also loved going on Sunday drives, and flying in Jay's single engine plane. She will be remembered and missed by all, especially her family.
    Surviving are eight children: Mary Lemke, Black Creek; Gerard Jay Baeten, De Pere; Gregory (Wanda) Baeten, Kaukauna; Jean (Daniel) Nohr, Maribel; Michael (Connie) Baeten, De Pere; Linda (Joseph) McConnell, Claskanie, OR; Patricia (Thomas) Knoerzer, Palos Heights, IL; and Kevin Baeten, Cross Plains, WI; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Jule; her husband, Larry; a sister, Virginia; and her husband's family: Vincent and Anna Marie Baeten, William and Edna Hockers, Ruth and Wilbert Jansen, James and Dorothy Coniff, Clarence and Alice Charneski.
    Friends may call at St. Clare Parish, St. Paul Catholic Church site, 437 Main Street, Wrightstown, on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, between 3 and 4:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Wednesday at 5 p.m. with Father Dennis Bergsbaken officiating.     Gerald A. "Junior" Gerrits, Jr., 79, Greenleaf, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born October 29, 1933 on the family farm in the Town of Wrightstown, son of the late Gerald Sr. and Leona (Geurts) Gerrits. He graduated from Wrightstown High School and served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. He married Mary Jane Hutjens on June 10, 1959 at Old St. Joe's Catholic Church in De Pere. He worked as a Master Ink Mixer for Thilmany Paper Co. for over 40 years, retiring in 1995. For the past 15 years, Junior worked part-time at Equity Livestock in Reedsville.
    He was a lifelong, active member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown, where he served as an usher, sang in the choir, and was president of the school board for the church. Junior was a member of the Wrightstown American Legion, where he was Past Commander and worked for their annual Christmas program.
    He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, playing cribbage, watching the Packers and Brewers, and was a hobby farmer.
    He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Jane; five children: Paul Gerrits, Dennis (Gabriela) Gerrits, Karen Bates, Julie (Jim) Feest, and Mark (Samantha) Gerrits; ten grandchildren: Dennis Jr., Daniel, Alyssa, Matthew, Allison, Brooke, Benjamin, Aubrey, Mariana, Fernanda; two great-grandchildren, Alekzander and Michael; brother, Roger Gerrits; sisters, Delores Kettenhofen and Norma Buechler; Mary Jane's family: Paul Schuette, Bonnie (Rick) Kolocheski, Marlene (Juan) Gonzales, Jerry Hutjens, and Janice Hutjens; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Titel; brothers-in-law, Robert Kettenhofen, Ken Buechler, Russ Titel and Jack Gerilowski; and sisters-in-law, Debbie Hutjens and Barb Schuette.
    Family and friends may call Friday, July 12, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 1:00 p.m. at St. Clare Parish- St. Paul site, Wrightstown, with Fr. Carl Meulemans officiating. Full military honors will follow the Mass. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home, Wrightstown, is assisting the family.     Norma J. Buechler, age 80, of De Pere, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 19, 2015. The daughter of the late Gerald Sr. and Leona (Geurts) Gerrits was born March 2, 1935 in Green Bay. She married Ken Buechler on February 14, 1956 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown. Together, Ken and Norma shared more than 40 years of marriage and lived in the Wrightstown area throughout their lives. Norma was an active member of the American Legion Urban Klister Post 436 Auxiliary, where she was past president. She was also a long-time member of St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site and the Christian Mothers group. Besides watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers play, Norma enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing cards.
    Survivors include her children: Debbie (Kip) Hansen, Tom (Kathy) Buechler and Shari (John) Leidel; grandchildren: Bryan (Emily) Hansen, Katie Hansen, Brooke Buechler, Billie Jo (Matt) Cornett, Beth Leidel and Sara Leidel, as well as 2 soon-to-be great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two siblings: Dolores Kettenhofen and Dr. Roger Gerrits; a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Gerrits; as well as brother-in-law Luke Verbeten and sister-in-law Donna Buechler; godchildren, nieces, nephews and other family.
    In addition to her parents and husband, Ken, Norma was preceded in death by an infant son Gerard, brothers and sisters: Carol (Russ) Titel and Junior Gerrits, brother-in-law Bob Kettenhofen, sister-in-law Eunice Verbeten and brother-in-law Ron Buechler. Further preceded by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Ted (Mary) Buechler.
    Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site, Wrightstown, on Monday, August 24, from 9:00am until 11:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30am with the Rev. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating and Rev. Carl Meulemans concelebrating. Interment in St. Paul Cemetery, Wrightstown. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory of Wrightstown is assisting the family.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Norma's name.

    Obituary:
    Beloved son and brother Tony Joseph Roche of Longview died Jan. 20, 2015, at home of natural causes. He is now in the loving arms of Jesus.
    He was born June 29, 1974, in Auburn, Wash., to John and Marcia Roche. He attended St. Rose School and Longview public schools, graduating from R.A. Long High School in 1992. As a youth, he enjoyed playing baseball, snow and water skiing and camping with friends. Following high school he completed the Lower Columbia College welding program and spent 20 years in the steel fabrication trades. As an adult, Tony enjoyed fishing, hunting, digging clams and other outdoor activities. His love for animals was over the top, and music was a large part of his world. He enjoyed many musical styles and was self-taught on the guitar.
    Tony is survived by his parents; two brothers, David in Rochester, Wash., and Aaron in Longview; his companion of 12 years, Liz Ford, and her daughters, Rose Beth and Megan; his loving uncles and aunts, Pat and Susan Sari of Longview, Ron and Joann Parsons of Kelso, and Mike and Jenny Heaton of Mason Lake, Wash.; eight fabulous cousins who were the best friends one could ask for; and many longtime and loyal friends who loved him. He will be greatly missed.
    A graveside service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Longview Memorial Park mausoleum. Tony was a casual guy, so come casual. A celebration of Tony's life will be announced at a later date.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Cowlitz County, P.O. Box 172, Longview, WA 98632.
    Arrangements are by Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory.
