.Per a distant relatives research (I've only been able to personally verifythe location of her birth, not the date), she was born 16 May 1872 inAppleton, Outagamie County, WI. On 16 May 1893, Margaret married Otto C.Shoenfeld (born 15 Jun 1865 in Newburg, Washington County, WI) in Oshkosh,Winnebago County, WI.* Margaret and Otto remained in Oshkosh from (as bes tI can tell) their marriage until their deaths. Otto and Margaret had fourchildren: Mildred Alice, Leona Ann (my great-grandmother, born 21 July 18 94and died 17 July 1982), Henrietta (born 24 July 1897), and Arthur (born 16April 1901, died August 1970). Margaret died on 16 December 1949 and Otto
died 31 May 1950.
*On the marriage license, Otto's parents are listed as being EdwardSchoenfeld and Lena Schmidt...but on the various censuses, she is calledSabina or Sabine. My distant relative's pedigree states that Edward HenrySchoenfeld(t) was born 1 November 1826 in Cuckmantl, Selesia, Prussia andmarried Sabina Schmidt (born 17 March 1843 in Neustadt, Bavaria) on 23February 1858 in Newburg Township, Washington County, WI. I have locatedthem on the 1860 census in Trenton, Washington County, WI with a one yearold daughter, Laura. They had eleven or twelve children (I can give yousome info on them, if you would like it). It appears that they moved toRichmond, Shawano County, WI, and lived there for about 20 years. Sabinadied 23 March 1902 in Wescott, Shawano County, WI, and Edward died on 25
December 1907 in his son, Otto's, home in Oshkosh, WI.

Margaret married Schoenfeld, Otto 16 May 1893. Otto (son of Schoenfeld, Edward Henry and Schmidt, Sabina) was born 15 Jun 1865, Newburg, Washington, Wisconsin, USA; died 31 May 1950, Oshkosh, Winnebago, Wisconsin, USA. [Group Sheet]

Barbara PEINERT I believe I am related to Rosella Thiel Collister. My grandmother was Leona Schoenfeld (sp) Raymond. I believe that Rosella and Leona were cousins. (?) There are many Thiels living in Cherokee now. Rosella and my grandmother were good friends and both lived in Cherokee. I never knew their relationship, but now I am very curious about that relationship. Do you have any information on the Thiel side of the family connecting them to the Raymonds (Schoenfelds)?

Leona Shoenfeld Raymond married Earl Raymond in Wheaton DuPage, IL. George W, Margaret, Catherine, Earl and Leona along with Earl's sister Ella are buried at Oakhill Cemetery Cherokee, IA. I own the remaining lots. My husband (living) and I have our headstones there too. However, since moving from Cherokee, IA to Davenport, IA, we have decided to be buried next to my father at the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, IL. My husband, Larry, is a Korean War vet. My mother (Gertrude Holcomb Raymond Rosene) is buried with her second husband Arvid Rosene in the same cemetery. The arrangements for the plot next to my father have already been approved. I will send another email with Raymond headstone pictures. I lost one email, don't want to lose this one.
