    Anne C. Vissers, 74, De Pere, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at a local hospital after a long illness. She was born January 31, 1933 in Green Bay to the late Paul and Frances (Roffers) De Tennis. She was a 1951 graduate of De Pere High School. On March 24, 1970, she married Kenneth Vissers at S. Mary's Church in De Pere. She was employed for many years at Royal Cleaners in De Pere. Anne, affectionately known as Tee-Tee, loved to dance, golf, travel and entertain. She was always the last one on the dance floor and enjoyed playing the Polka-Cello at Paul's Rathskeller in De Pere. She was a member of Twin Oaks and Wander Spring golf course. She taught her grandsons and nephews how to golf and was proud of their success. She was especially proud of her hole-in-one at Frontier Golf Course. Ken and Anne shared their many trips to Colorado with nieces and nephews and children of family friends. She treasured the bus trips with friends, the vacation in Hawaii, and the visit to Marco Island with her sister, Kaye. Relatives, friends and neighbors always looked forward to the parties, especially 4th of July and Christmas. There was always plenty of laughter, food and spirits for everyone. In recent years, she enjoyed dining and visiting with friends and family on Friday nights at Ziggy's in Allouez. Anne was a loving and devoted wife, tending to the daily needs of her husband, Ken, a paraplegic for 39 years. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her son, John VanLanen and his wife, Nancy; their children, E.J. and his wife, Betsy; Matt and his fiancee, Kari; and Jennifer; her brothers, Darold De Tennis, Green Bay; Paul De Tennis, De Pere; sister, Kaye Jadin and her husband, Gary, Green Bay; and brother-in-law, John Kautzer, De Pere. Further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Marilyn Vissers, De Pere; Don and Ann Vissers, The Villages, FL; and sister-in-law, Betty Clancy, Greenleaf; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Judy; and sister, Faye De Tennis Kautzer. Also by brothers-in-law, Jim Clancy, Hank Gerke; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Gerke and Patricia Rose De Tennis. Family and friends may call Saturday, March 3, 2007, from 9 a.m. until the hour of Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Drive, town of Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at church, with Fr. David Duffeck officiating. Per Anne's wishes, her casket will be closed. DeTennis, 75, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was born March 1, 1934 in Green Bay to the late Paul and Frances (Roffers) DeTennis. On April 22, 1967 he married the former Betty Bressers at St. Mary's Church, De Pere. Paul attended Central Catholic High School and graduated in 1952. He then enrolled at St. Norbert College. After two years at St. Norbert, he and several friends enlisted in the US Army on March 18, 1954. The majority of his tour of duty was spent in Europe. Upon discharge from the Army, he returned to St. Norbert College and was elected President of the Vets Club. He graduated in 1959 and went to work for Commercial Credit Corporation in their Green Bay and Milwaukee offices. Following a long family tradition, he entered the tavern and restaurant business in 1965. Paul, along with his wife Betty, owned and operated Paul's Bar on South Broadway in De Pere and later Paul's Rathskeller for many years. Upon retirement, he worked part time as a salesman for John Kos Home Improvement. Paul was a member of the 1952 championship football team that was elected to the St. Norbert Football Hall of Fame in 2003. He was a life long avid golfer and was a co-owner of Frontier Golf Course, now Twin Oaks, from 1972 to 1992. Paul was a Green Bay Packer season ticket holder for over 50 years, attending games in Green Bay and Milwaukee; he missed only one game in all those years. Paul, along with his brother Darold, were noted football historians for both college and professional football. Through the generosity of his children, Paul was able to fulfill a lifelong dream and return to Germany in 2003. He visited his son Alex, stationed with the US Army in Babenhausen, and other familiar places from his time in service. Paul's entire life was devoted to his children and grandchildren. He would not miss any sporting event, recital, or event deemed important to his children or grandchildren. Paul is survived by his children: Alex DeTennis, Trina DeTennis, and Paulie (Kim) DeTennis; three grandchildren: Chloe Hamstra, and Ava and Crosby DeTennis. He is further survived by his former wife Betty; siblings Darold DeTennis and Kaye (Gary) Jadin; brothers-in-law Ken Vissers and John Kautzer; nieces and nephews; life long friend Al Sabel and friend/ cousin Lee Roffers; and his many other friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Aubrey DeTennis; siblings Anne Vissers, Faye Kautzer, and Judy DeTennis; sister-in-law Pat Rose DeTennis; and step father Herb Kruse. Visitation for Paul will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
