Catherine Newhouse De Wildt, age 88, of Kimberly, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 24, 2007, at Franciscan Care. She was born July 18, 1919, in Freedom, daughter of the late John and Catherine (Hooyman) Newhouse. Catherine married her loving late husband of sixty-four years, Adrian "Ade" De Wildt, on June 21st, 1941; he preceded her in death in 2005. She passed along her recipes for apple pie and German potato salad, which were always favorites and family gatherings. Beyond Catherine's meticulous housekeeping, she enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting events along with her husband Ade. Her one hope and request for her family was for them to continue on her same path of faith in the Lord.
