Obituary:
Gerald John Williamsen, age 95, Suring (formerly of Kaukauna) passed away April 25, 2016. Gerald was born in Little Chute on January 10, 1921 to the late John and Mary (Hammen) Williamsen. Gerald served his Country in the United States Navy in the South Pacific during WWII from 1942 to 1944 aboard the USS Whitney.
Gerald married Helen Hegel on June 29, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kaukauna. They lived on 6th Street on the south side of Kaukauna for 59 years. Gerald worked at Kimberly Clark paper mill for 44 years, and retired in 1984.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Helen of Suring; 3 children, Mary (Dave) Gerndt of Suring, Dave (Debbie) Williamsen of Marshall, Missouri and John (Lorna) Williamsen of Illiniois; 6 grandchildren, Brian (Wendy) Gerndt, Lisa Williamsen, Anna (Troy) Thul, Steven Williamsen, Laura Williamsen and Kevin Williamsen and 13 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandy Williamsen on April 12, 2009; granddaughter, Trisha Simon on August 22, 2012 and his 10 siblings.

Visitation will be held at St. Mary's (Katherine Drexel) Catholic Church in Kaukauna on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 9 am until the mass at 11 am with Father Jerry Pastors officiating. Gerald will be interred in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Kaukauna. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com

Julitta A. "Mina" Bergeron, Kimberly, age 92, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016. She was born in Little Chute on September 11, 1923 to the late Gregory and Lena (Williamsen) Lenz. She graduated from Little Chute High School, class of 1941. Julitta married James Bergeron on February 9, 1943 at St. John Nepomucene in Little Chute. In her younger years, she worked as a mitten inspector at Zwicker's Knitting Mills, Appleton. Julitta was a lifelong member of the William Verhagen American Legion Post 60 Ladies Auxiliary. She was very accomplished at crocheting and made some beautiful afghans and scarves for her family.
Julitta is survived by her children: Gayle of Kimberly and Bill of Lake in the Hills, IL; and sisters-in-law: Helen Lenz and Pat (Lloyd) Van De Hey; and many beloved nieces and nephews and grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband James, Julitta was preceded in death by her son, Allen; brother, Ignatius Lenz; sister Pauline (Lenz) Van De Hey , sisters and brothers-in-law: Lloyd Van De Hey, Mildred Olm, Roger Olm, Marjorie Fischer, Joseph and Mary (Brewster) Bergeron and Louie and Madylen (Siebers) Bergeron.

Rosemary A. "Rosie" (Williamsen) Daul, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, December 22, 2013 with her family at her side. Born May 31, 1930, oldest daughter of Joseph J. and Cecelia K. (Palm) Williamsen. She was baptized, received first Eucharist, confirmed, and married at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute, WI. She graduated with the class of 1948 from St. John's Catholic High School.
Rosemary married Florian "Bud" Daul in 1951 and a few years later went with him to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO when he was drafted into service. There, she had her son, Steve. After Bud's service was done, they lived in Kaukauna, and she had her son, Tim, before moving and settling down in Freedom, WI. Rosemary and Bud run their Standard Service station in Freedom for over 30 years.
Rosemary was a feisty little girl with lots of spirit. She enjoyed shopping with her sisters. She was an avid speed reader and could finish most books in a day, which she read thousands. Rosemary was a devout Roman Catholic and wanted everyone to know it. Rosie was totally devoted to her family unselfishly always putting them 1st. She also loved her pet dogs. Her favorite saying was "Always think a lot of yourself."
Rosemary is survived by her sons: Stephen J. Daul and Timothy W. Daul. She is further survived by her "baby" sister Ruthie (Edward) Weber; and Bud's siblings: Mathew (Mary Ann) Daul; Loraine Callaway; Betty Smits; niece Kim (Jeff) Mayer, Brillion; great niece, Stephanie Mayer, Green Bay; and great nephew Nick (Rachel) Mayer, Reedsville; one uncle Gerald Williamsen, Kaukauna; many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph J. and Cecelia K. Williamsen; her husband, Florian (Bud) Daul; a son Joseph at birth; a sister, Mary at birth; a sister, Rita K. Cohan; brothers-in-law: William (Bub) Cohan, Norval Smits, and Jack Callaway; Bud's parents Mathew and Marie Daul; Bud's sibling Donald Daul; and friend Bev Kolb.

Rita was born October 31, 1931, in Little Chute, daught er of the late Joseph and Cecelia Williamsen. She graduate from St. John C atholic High School in Little Chute. She was a secretary at Wisconsin Mich igan Power Company in Appleton for several years. She married William “Bu b” Cohan at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute on November 26, 195 5. She worked with her husband in the American Family Insurance business u ntil his retirement. She then worked at Felecian Village in Manitowoc. Ri ta was member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion, St. Anne’s Alt ar Society, Reedsville and the Reedsville American Legion Auxiliary, Po st 199. She had been active in the Girl Scouts and was the first Brownie l eader in the Reedsville area. Rita enjoyed making retreats at Monte Alve no and Chamber Island, and the Cursillo experience. She enjoyed boating a nd snowmobiling when they had their cottage in Oconto County, traveling a nd playing cards. Eunice M. Kujava, 85, passed away August 5th, 2016 after a period of suffering but also joy, as her family came together yet one more time to talk and smile and tell stories. Knowing that her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were happy and healthy made Eunice happy.
Eunice Mae Kamps was born July 26th, 1931 to Jacob and Lauretta Kamps. She grew up working at Green Bay Floral and Greenhouse, her parents' business, eventually co-owning it with her husband until retiring in 1995 and passing it on to another generation.
She married Melvin Kujava September 26th, 1953 and together they raised a new crop at the Floral; Samuel, Thomas, Jayme, and Kevin Kujava. Her Four Boys. (A daughter, Mary Louise, was born and died in 1959.)
In an era when many women stayed at home and raised families, Eunice was a business manager and a driving force in the continued success of Green Bay Floral. And she still found time to walk up the back steps from the connected shop to her home and raise her boys as a part time stay at home Mom. Home or floral shop, it was all the same to her boys. Mom was always around.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Melvin in 2000, by her brother William (Bill) Kamps earlier this year, by her father-in-law Anthony and mother-in-law Inez, by her brother-in-law Kenneth, and by her grandson Nolan.
She is survived by her sister Janice Baeten (Allen), sister-in-law Evelyn Kamps, brother Joseph (Judy), sons Samuel (Lynn), Thomas (Margaret), Jayme (Sheila), and Kevin (Karla), as well as grandchildren Jacob, Lee, Celena, Bougie (Justin), Samantha, Kelly James (Jerome), Christopher (Gena), Dana, Tony, Katie Johnson (Nick) and Kayla… and great grandchildren Mackenzie, Crewe, Macy, Madden, Charlie, and Hailey and Cade Johnson. And many more nieces and nephews from the Kujavas and Kamps side as well as their families. And more family from the Fox Valley area (Williamsons and Kamps and more.)
Kujava family thanks go out to cousin Scott Baeten of Ryan Funeral Home who handled funeral arrangements with aplomb, and hugs, and kisses to the wonderful nurses and caregivers at Grancare Gardens who provided Eunice with a loving home in her last years. In the end, you were a part of Eunice's family too.

William G. Kamps, 82, Green Bay, died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at his home. He was born on April 23, 1933, in Green Bay to Jacob and Loretta (Williamsen) Kamps.
For many years Bill worked alongside his family in the family business, Green Bay Floral. In 1952, he graduated from Central Catholic High School. During the Korean War, Bill proudly served in the U.S. Army. On June 25, 1955, he married Evelyn Kuske at Annunciation Catholic Church. Bill was employed as a truck driver for the city of Green Bay for 28 years before retiring in 1995. He was a proud member of Union Local #75. Bill was also a member of the Moose Lodge #801. He enjoyed watching Packer games and spending time at his morning breakfasts with his retired coworkers. Bill also enjoyed spending time with his family at their cottage in Lakewood.

Mary Margaret (Van Den Berg) Van Den Eng, 86, De Pere, passed at her home surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Mary was born on April 18, 1928 in Van's Valley, Oneida to John and Marguerite (Williamsen) Van Den Berg. On June 6, 1946 she married Joseph Van Den Eng at Immaculate Conception Church in Oneida, where she was a lifelong member. Mary was a proud farmer's wife, a stay at home mother, and later worked at San Luis Manor. She enjoyed trips with her family and spending time with family and friends. She loved and was very proud of her large family.

Bergman, Mary Ellen (Williamsen) Mary Ellen Bergman, age 76, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2007, after a courageous battle with lymphoma. Mary Ellen was born on April 29, 1931, to Raymond and Jeanette Williamsen, in Appleton, Wisconsin. Mary Ellen graduated from Appleton West High School in 1949. On July 12, 1951, Mary Ellen married Robert Bergman at St. Therese Church in Appleton, and they recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. They spent their first year of marriage in Panama where Bob served in the Army before returning to Appleton.
Mary Ellen was a member of St. Joseph Church and belonged to the Monte Alverno Guild. After raising their three children, Mary Ellen worked as a seamstress for many years. She was a fun loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she will be dearly missed. Even during her illness, she never lost her sense of humor and was always willing to listen and try to solve every crisis large or small.
She is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, Bob; a son, Jim, Appleton; two daughters: Sandy (Kirk) Nichols and Shari (Greg) Anderson, both Appleton. She is further survived by four grandchildren: Ashley Bergman, Luke Anderson, Sam Anderson and Lily Nichols; four step-grandchildren: Jason (Callie) Lauer, Jacquelyn (Matt) McQuaid, Jon Nichols and Joe (Catherine) Nichols; and three step-great-grandchildren: Ashlee, Samantha and Scout. Other survivors include: sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and John Hietpas; and brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Donna Petersen; as well as many nieces and nephews: Bob, Bruce, Brian and Blaine Lyons; Lynn McCrary, Barb Johnson, Shawn Hietpas, Brenda Lythjohan, Lori Stiljes, Kelly VerBust, Dan Petersen and Margie Petersen-White.
Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Jeanette Williamsen; a sister, Barbara Petersen; mother and father-in-law, Mary and Peter Bergman; sister-in-law, Genevieve Bergman-Lyons; and brother-in-law, Eugene Bergman.
Funeral services for Mary Ellen will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 12th, at St. Joseph Church, 404 W. Lawrence St., Appleton, with Father Larry Abler officiating. Friends may call at the church from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Theda Care Hospice, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or a charity of your choice.

Obituary:
Mark Van Elzen, age 60, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, following a battle with cancer. He grew up in Darboy, Wisconsin and joined the Army after high school. After four years of active service, he returned to the States to complete his education. Mark graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in three majors. He was recognized for graduating in the top 3% of his class. Mark was admitted to the charter class at the University of Wisconsin - Madison Veterinary School, graduation with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. He continued his education at Northwestern University, graduating with a Masters in Biotechnology with highest distinction. Mark spent over twenty-five years as a veterinarian in the Chicago area.
Mark will be remembered for his love of animals, downhill skiing, and traveling. He shared his love of exploring new places with his son, and traveled with him to over twenty-one states, as well as France, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, and Mexico. When he was not traveling, he could be found reading medical journals and meticulously taking notes in a short hand script he developed himself.
Never one to turn away an animal in need, two dogs, three cats, six ferrets, a hedgehog, and two geckos joined his family.
Mark is survived by his parents: Tom and Yvonne; his son: Lance; two sisters: Michelle and Jackie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A service for Mark will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Donna Marie (Van Den Eng) Roes, 63, of De Pere, passed away from cancer at home on Friday evening October 18, 2013. The daughter of Joseph (deceased) and Mary (Van Den Berg) Van Den Eng was born May 16, 1950 in Green Bay. She married Ed Roes on July 21, 1978. She attended grade school at Immaculate Conception and graduated from Freedom High School. She had previously worked at San Luis Nursing Home and Prange Distribution Center. When she was diagnosed, she was doing what she liked best- caring for kids in her home. She loved them like they were her own. She enjoyed watching the Packers, car races, rip-offs tickets, and the weekly sign-in. What she loved the most was spending time with her family and friends.
Donna leaves behind her husband, Ed, one daughter, Laurel (Mark) Jacobs, one son, Joe (Jen Gordon) Roes, grandchildren, Alexa, Jack, and Charlie Jacobs, Kayla Patino, Kyle Balke, and Colten Roes. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Owen and Noah Patino.
Also surviving is Donna's Mom, Mary Van Den Eng, her siblings, JoAnn Hebert, Rich and Jan Van Den Eng, Barb and Dan Geurts, Diane and Jeff Van Asten, Tom and Meta Van Den Eng, Theresa and Gary Kortz, and Paul and Tracie Van Den Eng. Appleton - Bryan A. Gear, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 19, 2018, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. He was born October 4, 1968, to James and Mary (Williamsen) Gear. Bryan was raised in Appleton, having attended school at St. Thomas More and having graduated from Xavier High School. He then furthered his education at UW Eau Claire; he graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration. From 1995 to 2014, Bryan worked in eCommerce sales at Alta Resources. From 2014 until his passing, he worked at Royal Canin, a division of Mars, as an eCommerce sales leader. Bryan lived by his personal principles: simplicity, health, love, kindness, enrichment, relationships, and freedom. He was a humble and thoughtful man. He had a gentle disposition and a warm smile.
Bryan was a devoted family man and the youngest of six siblings. In 1988, Bryan met Nicole McManus while working at Chaska golf course, and they married in 1993. They were best friends and perfect soulmates and spent lots of time together going on coffee trips, walks, watching home shows, enjoying the sunshine, appreciating great food and sharing dreams (often about how to escape the Wisconsin cold). Together they had two sons, Jonathan and Christopher, whom he loved immeasurably; he was proud of the men his sons are becoming. He was a wonderful dad and a great role model for all. One of his favorite quotes was, "Nothing matters but the most important things in your life." Time spent with his family was most important to him. He enjoyed Boy Scout camping trips with his sons (including a great trip to the Boundary Waters), planning family vacations to warm places, trips to the family cabin in Watersmeet, Michigan, dinners out, and always making time for Sunday family movie nights (although he occasionally snuck off early to read a book). He had a special love of reading (especially history) as well as writing. He also liked to spend time with his lazy, at-home assistant, Louey (the family dog). Bryan and Nicole's home was always open to everyone; it was important to him that all felt welcome. He worked hard to perfect his barbeque, and he mixed a great Old Fashioned. Humor was one of the many special gifts he shared, from testing his jokes on his brother, Steve, to his spot-on impersonations. He made Nicole laugh every day and passed on his sense of humor to his sons. Bryan was also an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching Packers games, playing golf and tennis, fishing, kayaking and, most of all, watching his boys play and playing with them.
Bryan will be greatly missed by his wife, Nicole Gear; children: Jonathan and Christopher Gear; mother, Mary Gear (Lynch) (step-father, Bob Lynch); siblings: Lauri (Dennis) Sippel, Lynn (Dave) Parent, David (Frieda) Gear, Bill (Debbie) Gear, and Steve (Beth) Gear; in-laws: Debbie (Pete) Kuehl and siblings-in-law: Cassandra (Jeremiah) Slocum, Allison (Rob) Bayer, and Tom (Patricia) Kuehl. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews: Amy (Bill), Aaron, Angie, Marianna, Rose, Emily, Olivia, Courtney (fiancé, Darren), Claire, James, Thomas, Michael, Cameron, Nadia, Giana and Felix; close cousin, Jerry (Deanna) Manderfield; godfather, Jack Kuhr; his son John's special friend, Erika Johnson; good friends: Pat and Lisa Murray, Dave and Lisa Schumerth, Jim and Debbie Lang and Andy Van Straten; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, friends and team members.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Gear; father-in-law, Joe McManus; nephews: Matthew Gear and Tate Slocum; paternal and maternal grandparents; and his godmother, Sheila Kuhr.
The funeral service for Bryan will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at ST THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 North McDonald St., Appleton. There will be time for visitation on Friday, January 26, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. (with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.) at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton, and again at church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.

Obituary:
Man tossed from pick-up, pedestrian struck by car add to rising death toll. A 24-years old man was killed Thursday when his pickup tru ck drove off U.S.41 and rolled over several times. Ryan P.Weyenberg of Green Bay was thrown from his vehicle and landed in the ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Brown County Sheriff's Department, Weyenberg was southbound on U.S.41 about 4:15 a.m.when he lost control of his truck, drove into the west ditch and rolled over. The truck crossed the west frontage road before coming to rest in front of Valley Unit Step Inc., 1472 U.S.41. Weyenberg was alone in his truck when it crashed.

Weyenberg, Ryan "Julio", 24, 2808 Woodhaven Circle, De Pere, died Thursday, Oct.5, 2000 as the result of an automobile accident. The son of Lyle Weyenberg and Kristine Binish was born January 29, 1976 in Green Bay. Ryan graduated from Freedom High School. He was employed by A&A Fire and Security as an electronic technician, Green Bay, and was also a full-time student at NWTC. Ryan enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, playing darts and country western music.
