    Cornelius 'Casey' A. Verbruggen 535 Franklin Street Little Chute Age 73, died peacefully at his cottage in Pickerel, Friday, May 4, 200 1. He was born June 13, 1927, in Little Chute, son of Henry and Caroline ( Van Ryan) Verbruggen. Casey married Mary Jane Vanden Heuvel May 11, 195 0, at Saint John Catholic Church, Little Chute. Casey was a member of Sai nt John Church. He was self-employed as a general contractor until his dea th. Casey was a part-owner of Ryan's Ballroom, Combined Locks, with his s on Bill. Casey was a great singer who received great pleasure from his gra ndchildren. Casey enjoyed spending time with his family at his cottage th at he built.
    He loved the company of his dog Brandy for 17 years.
    Casey is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Jane; one daughter, Pam (M ark) Van Gompel, Kaukauna; five sons, Bill (Sharon) Verbruggen, Combined L ocks; David (Patricia) Verbruggen, Kimberly; Lee (Robin) Verbruggen, Litt le Chute; Dan (Billie) Verbruggen, Town of Vandenbroek; Ken (Karen) Verbru ggen, Little Chute; 17 grandchildren, Christine, Jacob, and Kala; Emily, M arnie, and Libby; Eric (Lynne), Ryan, Adam, and Carrie; Casey and Laura; M organ and Zachary; Luke, Ben, and Anna; one brother, John and Betty Verbru ggen, Little Chute; two sisters, Jakie Ebben, Little Chute; Joanne Cobb, C alifornia; two sisters-in-law, Joan and Joe Verbrick, Little Chute; Delor es Vanden Heuvel, Kimberly; numerous nieces and nephews; and special frie nd Charlie Hermus. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and fathe r-in-law, Bill and Christine Vanden Heuvel; four brothers-in-law and thr ee sisters-in-law, Leslie Cobb, Rich Ebben, Chub and Margaret Vander Velde n, Ted and Doris Heid and Alice Hermsen. Funeral services will be he ld at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at Saint John Catholic Church, Litt le Chute, with the Rev. John Schuetze officiating. Friends may call at t he church from 2 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.

    Verbruggen, Lee Cornelius "2-E"
    Lee Verbruggen, 50, Little Chute, died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, February 12, 2008. He was born September 12, 1957, in Appleton, son of Cornelius and Mary Jane (Vanden Heuvel) Verbruggen. Lee married Robin Van Epern on September 10, 1983, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Mr. Verbruggen was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. Lee was a 1975 graduate of Little Chute High School. He worked along side his father with Verbruggen Construction for many years. With his father and brothers he renovated Ryan's School into Ryan's bar, which became well-known for its exceptional character and craftsmanship. He ran Ryan's bar for 10 years. In 1994, Lee established Cornelius Concrete with his brother Dave, which he owned and operated for 14 years. Lee loved spending time with his family at Crystal Lake where he along side his father and brothers built the family cottage. He loved to play washer toss there. He was a wonderful uncle who provided many hours of entertainment for the kids. Lee enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, and was a proud member of "The Crush" softball team. He was an avid Packers fan.
    Lee is survived by his wife, Robin; his mother, Mary Jane Verbruggen, Little Chute; his loving children, Casey Lee Verbruggen and Laura Lea Verbruggen, both of Little Chute; his brothers and a sister: Bill (Sharon) Verbruggen, Combined Locks, Dave (Patricia) Verbruggen, Kimberly, Pam Van Gompel, Little Chute and special friend, Charlie Hermus, Dan (Billie) Verbruggen, Town of Van Den Broek, Ken (Karen) Verbruggen, Little Chute; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Terry (Kris) Van Epern, Kaukauna; Sandy (Jeff) Kunkel, Leavenworth, KS; Guy (Bonnie) Van Epern, Hurley; Roxy (Jerome) Gebert, Kaukauna; Will (Beth) Van Epern, Kaukauna; his mother-in-law, Helen Van Epern; godparents, Joan and Joe Verbrick, Little Chute; godchildren, Christine VanGompel, Carrie Verbruggen, Kurt Van Epern and Cameron Kunkel; nieces and nephews: Emily, Marnie, and Libby Verbruggen; Eric, Ryan and Adam Verbruggen; Jake, Kayla Van Gompel; Morgan and Zach Verbruggen; Luke, Ben and Anna Verbruggen; Corey Van Epern; Kyle, Corey Kunkel; Derik and Heidi Van Epern; Danielle, Andrea and Mikaela Gebert; Aidan and Jack Van Epern; great-nieces and great- nephews: Issac and Ayden; Brett, Taylor and Dylan; many other relatives and close friends.

    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008, at St. John Nepomucene Church with Fr. James Hablewitz officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
