    Obituary:
    Barbara L. Brantmeier, of Appleton, age 52, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2006, at her home. Barb was born February 13, 1954, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Russell and LaVerne (Collins) Birkholz. She married Dan Brantmeier on January 13, 1989, in Appleton. She had been employed at Kimberly-Clark Corporation for 33 years.
    Barb was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. She enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, musky angling, her friends, the cottage at Three Lakes and especially her golden retrievers, Logan and Connor.
    Barb is survived by her loving husband of nearly 18 years, Dan. She is also survived by her mother, LaVerne Birkholz, Appleton; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Russell and Leone Brantmeier, Menasha; her brothers: Russell (Debbie) Birkholz, Oak Creek; Terry (Debbie) Birkholz, Neenah; her sisters: Dorothy (Eric) Postl, Oshkosh; and Cindy (Steve) Ashley, Montana; and a special godchild Basia Skibba, who was the light of her life.
    Barb was preceded in death by her father, Russell Birkholz.
    Funeral services for Barb will be held on Friday, December 15, 2006, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second Street, Menasha, with Father Paul Radetski officiating. Friends and family will be received at the Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha on Thursday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., when a prayer service will be held, and again at the FUNERAL HOME on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. when the cortege will process to church for the funeral mass.
    A special thank you to family and friends, especially our friends who are family in Three Lakes, the staff at Martha Siekman Cancer Center, Dr. John Swanson and Theda Care at Home Hospice, and to those who have helped us through this journey.
