    Mrs. Edward (Theresa) Wallander, 80, of Route 2 Reedsville, died Thursday morning, May 29, at Holy Family Extended Care Facilities, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10:30 am. Saturday at Christianson-Deja Funeral Home, Valders and 11 a.m. at St Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. The Rev. John Conrad will officiate and burial will be in St Mary Cemetery, Clarks Mills. Mrs Wallander, nee Theresa Riederer, was born July 23, 1899, at Cato, daughter of the late Blasius and Mary Pritzl Riederer. She lived all of her life in the Town of Cato. She was married to Edward J. Wallander June 8, 1920, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. She was an honorary member of Christian Mothers of Clarks Mills. Survivors include her husband, Edward; six sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Paulene of Route 1, Manitowoc, Edward and Lucille of Route 1, Manitowoc, Robert and Elaine of Whitelaw, Tom and Janice of Chandler, Ariz., Bernard and Lois of Route 1, Cato, and Allan and Sue of Sepulveda, Calif.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores and Harold Schuh of Chandler, Ariz., Marie and Joseph Johanek of Manitowoc Rita and Charles McKiel of La Porte, Ind. and Mrs. Laura Braun of Manitowoc; four brothers, Bernard and August of Manitowoc, Edward of Cato, and Robert of Whitelaw; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Remiker and Mrs. Harold Lemberger of Whitelaw; a sister-in-law, Mrs Hilda Pankratz of Whitelaw; 5 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two infant sons, two grandsons, a great granddaughter and a brother. Friends may call as Christianson-Deja Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday where a rosary will be at 8 p.m.

    Obituary:
    Michael E. Wallander, age 71, of Clarks Mills died at St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc, Tuesday, May 2, 2000. Funeral Services were held Thursday, May 4, 2000, at St.Mary's, Clarks Mills. Rev. John Conrad officiated with burial in the church cemetery. He was born in the town of Cato on September 5, 1928. Mike farmed in the town of Cato with his father. He married Pauline Zipperer on June 14, 1949, at St. Michael's, Whitelaw. With his unlimited energies, he started Mike E. Wallander Construction Co working to build a better world. He earned numerous awards for his designs. His legacy will live on in his many buildings for farmers and industry. He also built the trailer court in Cleveland. His employees were like an extended family enjoying fish boils with family and friends. He was also a dairy farmer until 1993 when he suffered a stroke. In 1995, he retired to Clarks Mills and was employed part-time by Reedsville Equity until December of 1998. Mike suffered another stroke and was hospitalized. Then in January of 1999, he had colon surgery. After that, Mike resided at St. Mary's Home for 16 months. We are very thankful that we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary in June of 1999. Mike enjoyed hunting by his cabin in Florence Wis., fishing on Lake Michigan, relaxing at the cottage on Long Lake near Brillion, traveling in the motor home across the country with his family and snowmobiling on the trails. He was instrumental in organizing Valders Viking Snowmobile Club. Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's Clarks Mills Mens Club, Valders Lions Club, and Clarks Mills Sportsman's Club. He also was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis of Holy Innocents Parish. He is survived by Pauline, his loving wife of 50 years; nine sons and four daughters, their spouses and 23 grandchildren Richard, Charles, John, Peter, and MaryClare of Spokane, WA. Michael G. (Bonnie), Robert, Pamela, Matthew, (fiancee Becky), Adam and Kyle of Whitelaw. Randall (Andrea), Ryan and Tyler of Manitowoc. Judith (Dave) Wagner, Jennifer and Jerrod of Waukesha. Jeanette (Mark) Salm, Patrick, Lisa and Kelly of Chilton, Roseanne of Bozeman, MT. MaryAnn of Colorado Springs, CO. Wayne (Leslie), Gavin of Newton. Leon (Linda), Amanda, Aaron, and Emma of Valders. Ronald of Whitelaw. Russell (Tammy) of Manitowoc. Daniel (Laura), Malachi, Isaac and Jerimiah of Appleton. Martin of Manitowoc. He is also survived by five brothers and three sisters, Marie Johanek of Manitowoc, Rita McKiel of IN. Laura Braun of Manitowoc. Edward (Lucille) of Manitowoc. Robert (Elaine) of Whitelaw. Thomas (Pam) of MO. Bernard (Lois) of Cato. Allen (Susie) of CA. And his wife's family, Sally (Edward) Christian of Milwaukee. Maryanne (Robert) Kletzein of AZ. Bette (Roger) Schneider of Brillion. Frank (Joanne) Zipperer of Schofield. Susie Hebel of Milwaukee, Jerri Zipperer of Brillion. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Harold in 1969, his parents, Edward J. and Theresa (Reiderer) Wallander; his wife's parents, Frank and Mary (Klabatch) Zipperer; two Infant brothers and a sister, Delores (Hal) Schuh of AZ; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bert Zipperer, Alvin Zipperer, Dorothy and Louie Resch, Robert Hebel, Joseph Johanek, Charles McKiel and Anton Draun The Christianson and Deja Funeral Home, Valders assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
