    Femal, Gudrun A. "Lilla" AppletonAge 74, died Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at Rennes Health Center. She was b orn in Reykjavik, Iceland on October 29, 1928; the daughter of Arnie and G udrun (Helgadottir) Arnason. Lilla moved to Appleton in 1946 and married H arold E. Femal that same year. This past November they celebrated 56 yea rs of marriage. Lilla taught crocheting at Fox Valley Technical College a nd later taught others her love of knitting at The Little Mermaid. Lilla e njoyed traveling, especially back home to Iceland to visit her family. S he and Harry enjoyed many years living on Shawano Lake. Lilla work ed as a secretary for Femal's Service Inc.She is survived by her husband, Harold, Appleton; and their four sons: Ron ald (Barbara), Robert "Bob" (Susan), Erik (Marsha), and Richard, all of Ap pleton; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild; brothers: Ingolfur Arna son, Reykjavik, Iceland; Sigurdur Arnason Jonsson, Janesville, Wisconsi n; sisters: Ingebjorg Arnadottir, Arnheidur Arnadottir, Thuridur Arnadotti r, Halldora Arnadottir, all of Reykjavik, Iceland. She was preceded in dea th by her parents; and a brother, Helgi Arnason.A funeral for Lilla will be held Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 12 p.m. at t he Valley Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until t he time of the service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. A memori al fund has been established.The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the Nursing Sta ff at Rennes Health Center for all their kindness. Valley Funeral Home 2211 N.
