Obituary:
Marsha Ann Femal, 53, Appleton, passed away peacefully on Dec. 31, 2010, after her more than year-long fight with cancer. Born Aug. 13, 1957, in Appleton, she graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in 1975.
She worked with her parents at the Village Bakery in Black Creek, and later Miller Electric in Appleton. She married Erik Femal on May 22, 1982. After raising her children, she re-entered the work force and eventually returned to Miller Electric where she worked until her diagnosis.
A dedicated mother, she worked to instill in her children the importance of education and was proud to have all three of her kids in college and was looking forward to seeing her oldest, Timothy, graduate from Marquette Law School in May. Marsha was a regular blood donor and gave over five gallons to those in need before she herself was on the receiving end of many a transfusion.
Marsha will be missed by her husband, Erik; her two sons, Timothy and Brian; her daughter, Kristina; her parents, Elmer and Joan (Bazile) Kranzusch; and her brothers, Mark (Karen) and Glen (Janean); along with other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, 129 S. Mason Street, Appleton. Pastor Thomas A. Mielke officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Marsha's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
For memorial contributions, the family has designated the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
