    Rau, Beverly Ann (Ott)
Beverly passed away on Aug. 18, 2012, at her home in Westfield. This was a special day since it was also her 50th Wedding Anniversary.
Beverly was born on Dec. 29, 1939, in the city of Green Bay. Beverly married Harlan Rau on Aug. 18, 1962, in Forest Junction, Wis., and together they farmed in Calumet County and later moved to a farm in Marquette County, where they raised their family. They then retired and moved to the village of Westfield.
Harlan and Beverly have three sons and two daughters-in-law, Douglas (Linda) Rau, Minneapolis, Minn.; David (Diane) Rau, Montello Wis.; Joel Rau, Westfield Wis.; and one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda (Pat) May, Portage Wis. They have nine grandchildren, Austin and Emily Rau, Eric, Melissa and Kelly Rau, Jessica and Cassandra May, Brandon and Isaac Rau.
For many years after they retired, they cared for children in their home during the week, and when the weekend rolled around, Beverly and Harlan would be out the door, in their car and headed on a road trip. Their children often joked that they needed to put a GPS on their car so we can find them if their car broke down. Her favorite places to visit were the cities of McGregor, Marquette and Lansing, Iowa.
Beverly was very creative, loved to garden and made delicious deserts that her family enjoyed. She will be greatly missed by all.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Myra Ott; siblings, Dwane and Arlene; and brother-in-law, Howard Luckow. She is survived by two sisters, Rachel Luckow, Germaine (Verlin) Wandrey and one sister-in-law, Betty Ott.
A Private Family Service will be held.
Special thanks to Home Health United Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Resurrection Lutheran School, Westfield or Home Health United Hospice.

    Obituary:
Rodger Charles David Reichardt, age 85, of Appleton, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. He was the first son born to Clarence and Nora (Krueger) Reichardt on September 27, 1931, and spent his early childhood helping on the family farm in Brillion, WI.
Rodger graduated from Brillion High School and then proudly served in the United States Navy, and was a veteran of the Korean War. After his active duty, he continued his military career in the Navy Reserves for the next 30+ years. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 38, and also a member and Commander of the VFW in Appleton, WI. He proudly represented the VFW Post 2778 in numerous parades throughout the years.
He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he met his future wife and soulmate, Lois (LaFond). He then went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Rodger was a true "people person" and genuinely loved sharing his stories with others, even if he had no idea who they were. Everyone who talked to Rodger walked away smiling.
Rodger was a beloved teacher and guidance counselor and had a 30+ year career in the Appleton Area School District. He started out teaching at Wilson Jr. High School, and moved to Einstein Jr. High School when it opened. He taught English, History, and Government, and coached 9th grade boys basketball. After earning his Master's degree, Rodger went back to Wilson Jr. High as a guidance counselor. He was an incredible teacher and counselor who was highly respected and admired by his students and colleagues alike. Rodger truly loved everything about his career and felt blessed to be able to influence and shape the lives of his students. He loved it when former students would recognize him in the community.
Rodger was also very proud of his three sons, Guy, Randy, and Kevin, and he and Lois spent every summer camping with their sons when they were little, and in later years, enjoying time at their cottage up north.
In his retirement he enjoyed restoring old tractors- he belonged to two tractor clubs- and he proudly showed them at tractor shows around the state. He loved golfing with his buddies- having coffee weekday mornings, and taking trips with his family. In the winter, he and Lois loved being 'snowbirds' in Gulf Shores, Alabama. They welcomed many guests- family and friends- down South each winter. He also felt blessed to be on the Old Glory Honor Flight in 2014. Rodger was also a very loving grandfather; he never missed a sporting event, and was always up for an adventure. He loved playing with the grandkids and even went on roller coasters with them! His grandchildren will always cherish the beautiful memories they have of trips, family reunions, and all of his witty quips ("Rodgerisms"). They were very proud to call him Grandpa.
Rodger is survived by his loving wife, Lois (LaFond), his sons, Guy (special friend, Cheryl), Randy (special friend, Jenny), Kevin (wife, Jane), and his grandchildren, Morgan and Kenzi (Randy), and Rachel, Brady, and Olivia (Kevin and Jane). He is also survived by his sister, Priscilla (Lallie) Tahlier. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, 6 siblings, and his daughter-in-law, Shelly Reichardt.
Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 325 E. Franklin Street, Appleton, WI, at 10:30AM on Saturday, May 6th. Visitation will begin at the church from 9:00AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be set up in Rodger's honor.
The family wishes to thank Rennes Health Center for their dedication and kindness to Rodger. They also want to extend a sincere thank you to all of the selfless caregivers at Brewster Village, who touched the lives of Rodger and Lois throughout the past few months.

    Obituary:
James "Jim" deCoster, August 29, 1948-August 11, 2008. Jim was called by the Lord after a valiant 10 year battle with cancer. Through it all, he never complained. He held his head high and kept pushing forward. Jim graduated from New Holstein High School in 1966. After graduation, he attended MATC in Milwaukee for architecture. He worked for a couple of architecture firms in the Sheboygan area and later became a mechanical designer for Hayssen Manufacturing in Sheboygan and for Curt G. Joa, Inc. in Sheboygan Falls. During a remission from his cancer, he decided to go back to school. He graduated Summa cum Laude in May 2001 from Fox Valley Technical College with a degree in marketing. Jim had two great passions: cars and cooking. There always seemed to be a car show on TV and something brewing in the kitchen. He also enjoyed chauffeuring for Stardust Executive Limousine.
Jim is survived by his wife of 22 years, Christine; his parents: Bud and Red deCoster; and by his brother: Jef (Sharon) deCoster, all of New Holstein. Jim is further survived by his father and mother-in-law: Chick and Beulah Hawig; his sister-in-law: Jeanne (Jim) Lillich; and brother-in-law: Joey Hawig.
Jim was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Douglas.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at St. John UCC in New Holstein with the Rev. James Werner officiating. A memorial fund has been established in the name of James "Jim" deCoster.
Words cannot express how much he will be missed. Many thanks go to the doctors and nurses of Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin for their help and support through the years.

    Obituary:
Sharon Lee St. Louis, 74 of Fremont, died Friday May 2, 2014 at Riverside Medical Center, Waupaca. She was born in Appleton, November 7, 1939, daughter of the late Gordon and Luella Krueger. Sharon married Byron St. Louis on September 27, 1958.
Sharon was a very spiritual person, who believed and trusted in God. She was a very artistic and creative person, she loved to do crafts, and she could sew anything. Sharon always had a sweet tooth, and loved to try different foods. She enjoyed her trips to the casino; she said that was her entertainment. She loved watching all the birds that came to her feeders, as well as the other little critters that hung out in her yard. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Her seven children were her life, and she always worried about each one of them, which kept her up at night, consequently she never slept through the night. As parents we now understand that. Sharon also very much enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she was always there to babysit when needed.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Byron; her seven children, Carrie (Mark) Kools, Appleton, Michael (Kelly), Fremont, Terri (Paul) Meiselwitz, Appleton, Todd (Lisa), Appleton, Tammy (Chip) Kerscher, Fremont, Steven, Madison, and David (Tiffany), Appleton; 14 grandchildren, Ryan Kools (fiancée, Danielle Storm), Madison, Ben Kools, Minneapolis, MN; Stacy (Jon) Clark, Greenville, Kassie (Troy) Machovsky, Watertown, NY; Joshua St. Louis, Fremont, Katie (Mike) Niemuth, Appleton, Kyle Garrigan, Appleton, Zack Meiselwitz, Appleton, Jeremy Bottine, Appleton, Timothy Wayne (Heather) Bottine, Kaukauna, Emilee (Trever) Strong, NC; Michael Kerscher, Fremont, Madilynn St. Louis, Appleton, and Lilly St. Louis, Appleton; six great-grandchildren, with two more due this year; Sharon is further survived by a sister, Beverly Van Rooy, Appleton; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was further preceded in death by a brother, Charles Krueger; and her father and mother-in-law, Henry and Rosalie St. Louis.
In keeping with Sharon's wishes, a private family service will be held.
Sharon's family would like to extend a very special thank you to all of her doctors and nurses who cared for Sharon at Appleton Medical center, Crystal River Rehabilitation Facility, Waupaca, and Riverside Medical Center, Waupaca, for all of their care and compassion.
Sharon endured more sickness and health issues than any one person should have in a lifetime. She always had a positive attitude, never complained even toward the end when everything was going against her. "We are going to miss your daily or weekly phone calls to check in with each of us, and your silly family games; we love you and will miss you so much".

    Obituary:
Sandra K. (Stern) Buechel. The world lost a kind and gentle spirit when Sandy passed away from complications of a recent stroke. Sandy left us at age 56 to join her mom and dad and other loved ones on March 1, 2010, after being hospitalized at JFK Medical Center and the Jay Robert Lauer Hospice and Palliative Care Unit in Atlantis, FL.
Sandy was born into this world on September 3, 1953, to Orvil and Lois Stern in Appleton, WI. She grew up in the Appleton area and attended Appleton West High School, graduating in 1971. She continued her education at UW-Oshkosh and received a bachelor's degree in 1976. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority while in college.
Sandy married Donald L. Buechel on August 15, 1992, at St. James United Methodist Church in Appleton. Sandy was presently residing in West Palm Beach, Florida - with Florida being her home for the last 20+ years. She was employed in the billing/collections department at OB/GYN Specialists in West Palm Beach, Florida. Sandy enjoyed gardening, doing upholstery, sewing, dancing and had been an avid water and downhill skier. She will always be remembered for her love of family and her caring, sweet heart.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Donald Buechel, of West Palm Beach, Florida; her siblings: LuAnn (Ken) Van Handel of Appleton, Cheryl (Mark) Saltzman of Madison, and David (Tracy) Stern of Appleton; her mother- and father-in-law: Clarence and Valeria Buechel of St. Cloud; her brothers- and sisters-in-law: Gary (Janet) Buechel of St. Cloud and Donna (Allen) Hoerth of North Fond du Lac. She is further survived by nieces and nephews: Kris, Carol, Andy, Jeff, Alex, Henry, Brent, Bryan, Brad, Brittni, Dina, Brian, Eric and Cami; a special uncle and aunt, Ken and Carol Wolfmeyer of Wild Rose, WI/Boynton Beach, FL; and numerous cousins, extended family members, neighbors and friends - both in Wisconsin and Florida.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents August and Meta Stern and Viola and Leland Wolfmeyer; as well as an infant sister.
Cremation has taken place at Palm's West Funeral Home and Crematory in Royal Palm Beach, FL. A memorial service to honor Sandy will be held on Sunday, March 14, at St. James United Methodist Church in Appleton. Friends and family may call after 2:30 p.m. for a 3:00 p.m. celebration of Sandy's life.
    Rest in peace, Sandy.
    We love you.
