    Obituary:
Eileen K. Schneider, age 98, of Chilton, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Century Ridge in Chilton. She was born January 3, 1916 in the Town of Brothertown, daughter of the late John & Mary (Hertel) Schommer.
She married Roman Schneider on May 19, 1938 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg and the couple farmed together while raising their 9 children. Roman preceded her in death on January 1, 1979.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, the German American Group, and the Calumet County Homemakers. For many years, Eileen also volunteered countless hours at the Salvatorian Center in New Holstein.
Each and every summer, Eileen raised a large garden and looked forward to canning much of which she grew by her own hand. Her garden and love of sewing often proved handy while keeping 9 children dressed and fed throughout any given year. Although she was an avid Brewers fan and rarely missed a game, she always was, and remained to be the biggest fan of all of her grandchildren, especially when they were playing baseball.
Above all else, Eileen will be remembered as a woman who loved God, and cherished her faith and her family with every fiber of her being.
Survivors include her children: Jerry (Karen) Schneider of Chilton, Mike (Mary Lou) Schneider of Jericho, Betty (Alan) Depies of Wolf Lake, Chuck (Ellen) Schneider of Jericho, Paul Schneider of Jericho, Kathy Klaeser of Appleton, Steve (Kathy) Schneider of Chilton, Judy (Ken) Karls of Chilton, Mary (Lyle) Sattler of Jericho; 24 grandchildren: Tom & Jeff Schneider, Lynn Bruckner, Michele Mengert, Maria Schneider, Keith & Dan Depies, Chris Scholz, Janet Voss, Scott & Todd Schneider, Nathan Klaeser, Nicole Turenske, Jim, David, Joe & Rosemary Schneider, Anne Lisowe, Chad & Jason Karls, Kayla Enneper, Ben, Nick & Brian Sattler; 36 great grandchildren with another arriving soon; a sister: Rosemary Schadt of Green Bay; and 3 sisters-in-law: Loretta Schommer of Cedarburg, Melda Schommer of Chilton, Theresa Schneider of Fond du Lac. Eileen is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandchild: Daniel Schneider; 3 brothers: Roman (Alma), Edward (Anita) & Germann "Dick" Schommer; 3 sisters: Verona (George) Nisler, Margaret (Phil Lange)(Ed Sontag) Sontag, Frances (Ben) Kern; and a brother-in-law: Henry Schadt.
Funeral services will be at 6:30 pm on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday, July 18, 2014.
Eileen's family would like to thank the entire staff of Century Ridge, as well as the Calumet County Hospice Agency for all of the warm, loving care that was given to their mother.
