Obituary:
Maurice A Barclay, 95, Seymour, passed away peacefully early Saturday morn ing, July 29, 2006, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. He was b orn May 31, 1911, son of the late Warren and Jeanette (Dallas) Barcla y. On April 22, 1937, he was united in marriage to Margaret Schaumbe rg at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour. Maurice and Margaret had eig ht children and farmed for many years. He was a member of the Wisconsin Ho rsepullers Association and in 1991 was inducted into the Wisc. Horsepulle rs Hall of Fame. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; his children: Gail Barclay, Appleto n, Ann (Karl) Kuehl, Edgar, Melvin (Barb), Donald (Vonnie), Michael (Linda ), Jean (Harvey Jr.) Albert and Janet Barclay (wife of Maurice Jr), a ll of Seymour; twenty-nine grandchildren: Barb (Joe) Schaefer, Combined Lo cks, Scott Barclay, Appleton, Bonnie McClone, Neenah, Doug Barclay, Seymou r, Harvey III (Lynn) Albert, Eldon (Tina) Albert, Brian Albert and Summ er Chartraw, all of Seymour, Susan (Russell) Tilot, Green Bay, Cherie (Joh n) Wood, Milwaukee, Trudy (Rob) Powelson, Illinois, Julie Albert, Eau Clai re, Karen (Doug) Neal, Hilbert, Diane (Joe) Knorr, Black Creek, Lyn (Pet e) Leisgang, Tom and Ken Barclay, all of Seymour, Becky (Bruce) Lohrenz, H ortonville, Keith Barclay, Krakow, Kim Barclay, Shiocton, Bobbi Barclay, A ppleton, Tracie (Doug) McKeefry, Pulaski, Glen Barclay, Seymour, Terri (St eve) Garsow, Shiocton, Char (Tom) Wilson, Pulaski, Sharon (Kurt) Olson, On eida, Amanda (Jamie) Westphal, Neenah, Abbey (Ebert) Nitzke, Osseo and A nn E. (Eric) Peebles, Edgar; 38 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his two sons, Maurice Jr and Terry; one infa nt granddaughter, Faith Albert; three infant great-granddaughters, Madis on Westphal, Laura Albert and Morgan Lohrenz; one infant great-grandson Ch arlie Chartraw Jr.; two brothers, Vernor and Lawrence Barclay; and two sis ters, Ruth Herman Kleist and Doris Osterheld.
Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home in Seymour on Tuesd ay from 4 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 2, 200 6, at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour with Pastor W. Paul B rinkman officiating. Burial at Highland Memorial Park Appleton. Friends m ay call at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. A memori al fund has been established.
