    Seif, Laverna A. (Mrs. Earl J. Seif)
    Laverna A. Seif, of Kaukauna, age 89, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2 005 at the Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. Laverna was born in Applet on on July 5, 1915, daughter of the late William and Ella (Spaude) Kruege r. In her early years, the family lived near Dale. After her marriage to E arl Seif in 1941, the couple relocated to Kaukauna, where they had been lo ngtime members of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Laverna enjoyed sewing, baki ng, and sharing her treats with relatives and friends.
    Survivors include a son, John (Sue) Seif of Green Bay; a daughter, Ann (Ja mes) Courtney of Janesville and their children Christopher (Carleen) Court ney, Michael Courtney and his fiancee Danielle Kingslien, Sarah (Jeremia h) Brooks, Marie (Dan) LaVelle, and Ryan Courtney; a daughter, Mary (Mer l) Sanderfoot of Kaukauna and their children Brian (Marni) Sanderfoot, Br ad (Angie) Sanderfoot, B.J. (Beth) Sanderfoot, Brent Sanderfoot, and Brit en (Mike) Frost; a daughter, Jane (Robert) LaPlante of Kaukauna. Laver na is further survived by her six great-grandchildren: Augustus Courtne y; Brant, Margaret, and Marin Sanderfoot; and Addison and Michaela Sanderf oot; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl in 1987, brothe rs Lester (Mary) Krueger and Marvin (Toni) Krueger, and sisters Dorothy (C lifford) Kottke, Erdine (Harry) Wege, and Mildred (Leslie) Eberhard.
    The funeral liturgy for Laverna will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Janua ry 19, 2005 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukau na with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the parish ce metery. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 3 p.m. u ntil the hour of the service. A memorial fund has been established.
