    2. Regarding David Porter and Rebecca "Becky" Gochnauer, their children were David M. Porter; Michael Andrew Porter; William J. Porter; and Susan M.Porter (Krouscup). Susan M. Porter born 27 SEP 1946, unknown where. Married John R. Krouscup unknown where. John M. Krouscup born 27 SEP 1946, unknown where. Presently living at 4116 Coolidge Ave., Oakland, CA. NO CHILDREN. I believe that David and Rebecca were living in Appleton about 1960. I guess I will have to check Appleton's City Directory.

    David Joseph Porter, Jr., born 26 JULY 1917 in Kimberly, Outagamie County, WI; died 09 July 1993 in Waupaca, Waupaca County, WI. Burial at Lakeside Memorial Park, Waupaca, Waupaca County, WI., in Plot 601-L. (WI Death Index: David Joseph Porter, died 09 July 1993 in , Waupaca, Wisconsin. Certificate Number 019424;
    On 10 SEP 1941 he enlisted at Milwaukee, Milwaukee Co., WI; he was listed as single; 4 years of high school, and semiskilled occupation in manufacture of paper and pulp (which coincides with his occupation in the 1940 US Census for father David Porter, in Kimberly, Outagamie County, WI. He was as a Staff Sgt. in the U. S. Army Air Command during WWII; I saw somewhere that in 1950 the family was living in Mexico City, Mexico, but I have no PROOF. After his term of service ended, the family returned to Appleton, Outagamie Co., WI.

    After the death of his first wife, Rebecca "Becky" Gochnauer Porter, David Porter married Ruth Sieg in Waupaca, Waupaca County, WI. (WI Marriage Index, 1973-1997); David J. Porter on 08 July 1980, listed as age 62 (born 1918) to Ruth Sieg, age 62 (1918) in WI. Certificate No. 013554). Ruth Sieg was born 09 June 1918 in Appleton, Outagamie County, WI., daughter of Edward Albert Johann Sieg a/k/a Edward Albert Sieg and Minnie Defferding. Ruth Sieg Porter died 01 Aug 1987 in King, Waupaca County, WI. Buried next to her husband at Lakeside Memorial Park, Waupaca, Waupaca County, WI. Ruth had never been previously married. I believe that she may have attended Lawrence University. (I believe that David Joseph Porter, Jr. and second wife, Ruth Sieg Porter both died at the King Veterans Home in King, Waupaca County, WI, because he was a WWII Veteran).

    Ruth Sieg's father was Edward Albert Johann alia Edward Albert Sieg was born 16 Nov 1884 in Black Creek, Outagamie County, WI., son of Johannes (John Sieg) and Ottile Hahn, both born in Germany. Edward Albert Sieg died 11 SEP 1967 in Appleton, Outagamie County, WI; burial at Appleton Highland Memorial Park, Appleton, Outagamie County, WI. Edward Albert Sieg married Minnie Defferding ca 1910 in Center, Outagamie County, WI. Minnie Defferding born 04 DEC 1887 in Center, Outagamie County, WI., daughter of Mathias alia Mathew Defferding and Annie Defferding (both born in WI). Minnie Defferding Sieg died January 1974 in Appleton, Outagamie County, WI; burial same place as husband.
    See 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940 U.S. Federal Censuses for Edward Sieg (1910) in Center, Outagamie County, WI., living with his father-in-law, Mathew Defferding; see 1920. 1930, and 1940 U.S. Censuses for Edward A. Sieg in Appleton, Outagamie County, WI.
