    Edna Howard, age 97, of Kimberly, passed away at the home of her daughter, Karen Howard, on Monday, September 14, 2009. She was born in the Town of Lawrence on March 15, 1912, the 7th child of 17 children to the late Gustav and Emma (Kersten) Erdmann. On March 30, 1937, she married Charles Howard at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wrightstown. Edna worked at Fox River Knitting Mill for many years and then helped with their farm produce stand. She enjoyed embroidering, taking care of her flowers, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Edna is survived by her three children: Rosemarie (Pierce) Giffey, Appleton; Wayne (Barbara) Howard, Hortonville; Karen Howard, Kimberly; five grandchildren: Tim Giffey, Michelle Giffey, Christopher (Ginger) Howard, Carla Beeson and Chad Howard; four great-grandchildren: Cameron and Brennen Howard, Madesyn Arena, and Braden Beeson; a sister, Mildred Schmidt, Wrightstown; three brothers: Clarence and Robert Erdmann, both of DePere, and Emmet (Jean) Erdmann, Appleton; four sisters-in-law: Wilma and Mildred Erdmann, both of DePere; Viola Howard, Neenah; Carol Howard, Watertown, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters: Esther Maass, Ella Gast, Anne Brasch, Marie Erdmann; eight brothers: Elmer, Henry, Melvin, Norbert, Edward, Lawrence, Howard and Sherman; five sisters-in-law: Esther Erdmann, Beverly Erdmann Zipperer, Florence Penney, Mary and Dorothy Howard; and six brothers-in-law: William Maass, Arnold, Gast, Arthur Brasch, Fred, William and Floyd Howard.
    Edna's family extends much gratitude to Dr. Michael Werner and the staff at Kaukauna Clinic and Mary, Claudia, Ida, Tricia and Sue of ThedaCare at Home Hospice who treated her with such gentleness and dignity.
    A Funeral Service for Edna will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 601 S. Washington Street, Combined Locks, with the Rev. Bill Schroeder and the Rev. Tim Krick officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday, from 3 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund for Edna has been established.

    Mildred V. Schmidt, 92, resident of Wayside Parkview Estates, formerly of Wrightstown, passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 20, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in the Town of Lawrence, on Feb. 1, 1918, to the late Gustav and Emma (Kersten) Erdmann.
    On April 27, 1946, she married Melvin A. Schmidt in Wrightstown. Mildred and Melvin owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Rockland, until their retirement in 1979. They then built their retirement home on Washington Street in Wrightstown.
    Mildred was a lifelong member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Wrightstown. She was very active in the church's day-to-day activities. She greatly enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and baking. Mildred loved playing cribbage and bingo.
    Surviving are three sons, Roger (Cathy) Erdmann, Kaukauna Wis.; Ronald (Norma) Schmidt, New Ulm, Minn.; and Warren (Connie) Schmidt, West Bend Wis.; 11 grandchildren, Sherri (Tim), Bonnie (Ray), Christine (David), Paul (J.J. Boggs), Trisha (Nathan), Jon (Jenny), Michelle (Brian), Sarah (Jason), David, Carlene (Ryan) and Mathew (Sarah); 13 great-grandchildren, Aaron, Ashley, Katie, Ben, Danielle and Hayden; Arlo and Nora; and Abbey, Sean, Lauren, Charlie and Jackson; three brothers, Clarence, Emmet (Jean) and Robert Erdmann; and two sisters-in-law, Wilma Erdmann and Mildred Erdmann.
    Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; five sisters, Esther Maass, Ella Gast, Anne Brasch, Marie Erdmann and Edna Howard; eight brothers, Elmer, Henry, Melvin, Norbert, Edward, Lawrence, Howard and Sherman Erdmann; two sisters-in-law, Esther Erdmann and Beverly Erdmann Zipperer; and four brothers-in-law, William Maass, Arnold Gast, Arthur Brasch and Charles Howard.

    Clarence G. Erdmann, 89, Town of Lawrence, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at his home. He was born September 30, 1924 on the family farm in the Town of Lawrence, son of the late Gustav and Emma (Kersten) Erdmann. Clarence served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a Millworker for Procter and Gamble for many years and enjoyed helping on the family farm.
    He was a lifetime member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Wrightstown and enjoyed scratch-off lottery tickets.
    Survivors include one brother, Emmet; two sisters-in-law, Wilma Erdmann and Mildred Erdmann; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great nephews.
    Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; 6 sisters and 9 brothers: Esther, Anna, Ella, Edna, Marie, Mildred, Elmer, Henry, Edward, Lawrence, Howard, Norbert, Melvin, Sherman, and Robert.
    Family and friends may call Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Wrightstown, with the Rev. Matthew Vik officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, Appleton. Cotter Funeral Home, Wrightstown, is assisting the family.     Obituary:
    Erdmann, Emmet H. 87, Appleton, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016, at Rennes Health Care Center surrounded by his loving family after a short illness. Emmet was born in Wrightstown on June 15, 1928 to the late Gustave and Emma (Kersten) Erdmann. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1950 and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War with the 169th Medical Company. On May 8, 1954, Emmet was united in marriage to Jean Sieth at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton. The couple enjoyed 57 years together until her passing in Dec. 2011. He worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad Company as a track foreman retiring in 1990. Emmet was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #2778 of Appleton and member of the American Legion Post #38 of Appleton and Cooties Pup Tent 29 of Appleton. Emmet spent countless hours volunteering with all three groups and his many trips to King Veteran Home. He and his daughter went on the Old Glory Honor Flight in June of 2014 to Washington D.C.
    He was also a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church where he served as an usher and enjoyed gardening. Emmet was the last of 17 children of Gustave and Emma's to survive.
    He is survived by his daughter Lori Erdmann, Appleton; son Dwight (Ruth) Erdmann, New Orleans; 2 grandchildren: Amanda (special friend, Jeff) Erdmann and Erik (fiancé, Kayla) Erdmann; one great granddaughter, Abigaile and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Emmet was preceded in death by his parents; and 16 siblings.
    A Funeral Service for Emmet will take place at 11 am on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2330 E. Calumet St., with Rev. Roger McQuistion and Rev. Jennifer DeNetz officiating. Friends may visit on Thursday at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and directly at church on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established.
    Family would like to thank the staff of Rennes for their care of Dad.

    Roger Edward Erdmann, age 75, Kaukauna, died peacefully at his home, on Monday, December 4, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Green Bay on October 2, 1942, the son of Mildred Erdmann. He was raised on the family farm by his grandparents, Gustave and Emma Erdmann. He married Catherine Beyer at St. Paul's Parish in Wrightstown on January 12, 1963. Roger worked at Thilmany Pulp and Paper for 41 ½ years, until his retirement in December of 2003. He was a member of the Thilmany Quarter Century Club, Pyrotechnic Guild International and the Kaukauna Athletic Club.
    Roger enjoyed golfing, traveling and playing bingo with his girls. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and took great pride in taking care of his family.
    Roger is survived by his wife of almost 55 years, Catherine; daughters: Sherri (Tim) Coffey of Kimberly; Bonnie (Raymond) Nabbefeld of Kimberly; and Michelle (Brian) Bruns of Wrightstown; grandchildren: Aaron and Ashley Evers, Ben Nabbefeld, Danielle (John) Cops, Katie Coffey and Hayden Bruns; great grandson, Michael Nabbefeld; brothers: Warren (Connie) Schmidt and Ronald (Norma) Schmidt; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Peter (Barbara) Beyer, Marcy Meulemans, Jackie Jones, Agnes Karner, Edward (Judy) Beyer, Alex Beyer, Charles (Rosemary) Beyer, Janice Beyer and Doris Beyer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred (Melvin) Schmidt; grandparents, Gustave and Emma Erdmann; father and mother-in-law, Edmund and Agnes Beyer; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Albert Beyer, Edmund Beyer Jr., Art Meulemans, Joyce (Bernard) Van Roy, Bill Jones, Robert Karner and Judy Beyer.
    Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main St. Little Chute) beginning at 5:00 p.m. until time of Parish Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday, December 7, 2017 at HOLY CROSS PARISH (301 Desnoyer St. Kaukauna) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev.
