    Melvin J. Kriplean, 92, of Kaukauna, formerly of Little Chute, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015. He was born on November 20, 1923, son of the late John and Suzanna (Mayer) Kriplean.
    Melvin married Rose Ann Kettleson on November 9, 1944. He was the founder of Kriplean Construction and was a contractor for many years. In his free time, Melvin was an avid fisherman, but most importantly, he was a strong family man.
    Melvin is survived by his children: Luann Kriplean, Clint (Susan) Kriplean and Jane (Robert) Fuller; a daughter-in-law, Jane Kriplean; grandchildren: David Lappen, Heather Alix, Renee Kriplean, Sara Wouters, Brett Kriplean, Catherine Kriplean, Spencer Kriplean and Dana Schommer; great grandchildren: Kori, Ella, Rose, Violet and Lily; a great great granddaughter, Lillian; a sister, Estelle (Andy) Borg; a brother, Russell (Corrine) Kriplean; and many nieces, nephews and members of Rose's family.
    Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; his parents; sons: Robert and Raymond; a daughter, Nancy.
    Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating.     Raymond Kriplean, "Butch" to his friends and family, age 61, formerly of Little Chute, WI, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL, after a courageous battle with cancer. Raymond lived in nearby Orange Beach, AL, with his wife, Jane Kriplean. Born August 3, 1948, to Melvin and the late Rose (Kettleson) Kriplean, Raymond grew up in Little Chute, WI, and graduated from St. John's Catholic High School before receiving a degree in Electronics from the DeVry Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL. After graduating, he married Jane Ann Vander Zanden, of Kaukauna, WI, in 1968. Raymond proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army, and was deployed to Vietnam. Upon returning home, he settled in Little Chute, WI, and raised two daughters. He was the proud owner of Kriplean Seamless Gutters, in Little Chute, WI, until moving to Orange Beach, AL, in 1999, where he took up work for 8 years with Vulcan, Inc. as a machinist.
    Survivors include wife, Jane, daughters: Renee Kriplean, Sara (Travis) Wouters; granddaughter, Ella Wouters; father, Melvin Kriplean; sisters: Luann Kriplean, Jane (Robert) Fuller; brother, Clint (Sue) Kriplean, mother-in-law, Barbara Vander Zanden; sister-in-law, Betty (Anthony) Cecchini,; brothers-in-law: Jim (Pam) Vander Zanden, Jerry Vander Zanden; aunts and uncles, many special nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
    He was preceded in death by his mother Rose, sister Nancy, brother, Bobby, and father-in-law Cyril Vander Zanden.
    Butch enjoyed the outdoors, bicycle riding, boating, and walking on the beach. When relaxing, you could find Butch in his favorite recliner, watching Nascar or the Packers game. He was an avid reader and found strength in the Bible over his 2 year fight.
    Memorial service will be held Monday, October 26, 2009, at St. John Nepomucene, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with Father Dave Funk OFM. Cap presiding. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the gathering space of the church. Service will be held at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Raymond's honor for M.D. Anderson Cancer Center of Houston, TX.
    Raymond was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed and always loved by his family.
