    Propson, Bernice L. Bernice L. Propson, age 83, of Kiel, died on February 14, 2010, at Rocky Knoll in Plymouth. She was born February 8, 1927, daughter of the late Clem and Margaret (Heimermann) Buechel. She married Joseph G. Propson on April 30, 1946, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Kloten. Early in her life, Bernice worked as a waitress where she learned the secrets of being a great cook and baker. As time moved forward, she worked for Larson's Dry Cleaning and the Foley Co. in Chilton. Bernice also farmed with her husband, Joe, in the Quinney area and she babysat many children for family, friends and neighbors whenever they needed a caring, helping hand. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Martin Parish, and was a former member of the Chilton Eagles Auxiliary. Bernice enjoyed doing crafts and painting ceramics, but she will be remembered most fondly as an excellent seamstress. Her quilts and embroidery work will be cherished by her family for generations to come.
    Survivors include her husband, Joe; her children: Linda Forstner, Chilton; Laura (Jim) Muehlbauer, Kiel; Lucille (John) Boll, Chilton; Leroy (Mary) Propson, Two Rivers; Lenny (Eileen) Propson, Kiel; Mark (Darlene) Propson, Cato; Janet (Wayne) Bennin, Howards Grove; Kristi (Russell) Spindler, Elkhart Lake; 15 grandchildren: Dale, Michael, Jennifer, Jill, Jeff, Eric, Joe, Julie, Andy, Lee, Jodi, Heidi, Briana, Cheryl, and Brian; 22 great-grandchildren: Joshua, Brittany, Lucas, Kamilah, Denver, Autumn, Skylar, Adelina, Addison, Greyson, Kendra, Ryan, Jacob, Justin, Brooke, Rachel, Trevor, Kendra, Elizabeth, Brandon, Noah, and Harmony; two brothers: George and Thomas; four sisters: Monica, Christine, Veronica, Bernadette; a brother-in-law: Andrew; and four sisters-in-law: Rosie, Alice, Dorothy, and Delores. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers and sisters: Magdalene, Bruno, Evelyn, Benjamin, and Albertine; a sister-in-law: Isabelle; and six brothers-in-law: John, Leander, Gregor, Theodore, Ervin and Arthur.
    The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton, with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Entombment will be at the Knollwood Mausoleum in Manitowoc. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, and on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. A parish vigil service will be held Wednesday evening at the funeral home at 7 p.m..
