    Obituary:
    Gerald John Williamsen, age 95, Suring (formerly of Kaukauna) passed away April 25, 2016. Gerald was born in Little Chute on January 10, 1921 to the late John and Mary (Hammen) Williamsen. Gerald served his Country in the United States Navy in the South Pacific during WWII from 1942 to 1944 aboard the USS Whitney.
    Gerald married Helen Hegel on June 29, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kaukauna. They lived on 6th Street on the south side of Kaukauna for 59 years. Gerald worked at Kimberly Clark paper mill for 44 years, and retired in 1984.
    Gerald is survived by his wife, Helen of Suring; 3 children, Mary (Dave) Gerndt of Suring, Dave (Debbie) Williamsen of Marshall, Missouri and John (Lorna) Williamsen of Illiniois; 6 grandchildren, Brian (Wendy) Gerndt, Lisa Williamsen, Anna (Troy) Thul, Steven Williamsen, Laura Williamsen and Kevin Williamsen and 13 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandy Williamsen on April 12, 2009; granddaughter, Trisha Simon on August 22, 2012 and his 10 siblings.

    Visitation will be held at St. Mary's (Katherine Drexel) Catholic Church in Kaukauna on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 9 am until the mass at 11 am with Father Jerry Pastors officiating. Gerald will be interred in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Kaukauna. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
    A special thank you to ThedaCare at Home Hospice for the excellent care they offered to Gerald.

    Williamsen, Sandra M.nKaukauna Sandra M. Williamsen, age 58, passed away at her residence on Easter morning, April 12, 2009. She was born May 5, 1950, the daughter of Gerald and Helen (Hegel) Williamsen.
    She is survived by her parents, two brothers, David (Debra) Williamsen, Missouri and John (Lorna) Williamson, Illinois; a sister, Mary (David) Gerndt, Suring. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
    Private Family Services were held at Boettcher Family Funeral Home with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary Cemetery in Kaukauna. (920-766-2099)
